Hey, watch what you say about her, she's one of my heroes. In fact we've used her as inspiration for our version of Full Contact Curling (a "Tonya" consists of hitting your opponents in the back of their knee while they are sweeping the stone, painful and they will think twice about sweeping the stone again)

I was searching the web, looking to see who was doing curling stats this time around in the Olympics, and when I googled "curling statistician" the third or fourth article down was about me and my stats partner from Salt Lake. The interesting part is that I dont remember the interview, and while I do remember going to the Olympic Medal Plaza, but not with the person who worte the article. I wonder if I was ruffeed? Link

I am glad the Olympics are over. NBC did a real shitty job with the coverage. Denice and I both like to watch the Ice Skating and Ice Dancing, but unless you stayed up until mid-night you got to see maybe 2 or 3 of the bottom line skaters there.
Did learn a lot about cross country skiing. Today we watch the 50K race and couldn't believe that those guys skied for over 2 hour straight.
Also I didn't see any prime time coverage on Curling. I kind of like to watch boccie ball on ice.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Alpine events had some fair coverage.
If I don't see Bob Costas, Al Michaels and the rest of that group for some time it won't hurt my feelings any.

I knew this would bring the Canadians out. Canada did a fine job of hosting the Olympics and cleaned house in the medals department also.

Never ever stop watching the Olympics until its all over... who would ever have figured that Chile would beat the strong showing by the Haitians... damn, an 8.8 on the second to last day locked up the Gold for them, relegating Haiti's 7.0 to a Silver Medal

I figure that whoever is constructing or inspecting Olympic level tracks is professional enough to be able to evaluate it for safety.

Most of it was live at Noon and 5pm Eastern Time, the late games would have been live at 10pm eastern time. Since NBC, in their "wisdom", tape delayed everything on the west coast to match the east coast viewing time, those would have been the broadcast times at your end of the country.
I have no clue why NBC tape delayed for the west coast, absolute idiocy if you ask me, but that was the corporate decision.

Long time, no post! Here is what *every* living room looked like last Sunday, from the Atlantic to the Pacific, north of the 49th:
And what *every* bar looked like:
It's really impossible to explain what was going on up here last Sunday unless you were here to experience it. Based on the numbers from the networks (who really knows how accurate they are, but anyways...) fully 80% of Canadians watched the game. In US terms, that would be 247 million people. That's 2.3 times the highest rated Super Bowl (NO vs Indy). Imagine what Boston was like when they won the World Series, but multipled across the entire country.
What a crazy country!

By the way, I should add that I thought lots of the NBC coverage (in the eastern time zone, anyways) was pretty good. For one, a lot of the Canadian commentators grated somewhat, while the NBC commentators were a lot more polished. We watched all the figure skating on NBC, for example.
In the past, NBC has been criticized for focusing too much on US athletes, to the exclusion of others. This time around, I thought they did a much better job. The Canadian networks, by contrast, seemed "All Canada, all the time, wahooo!" to the extent it was a little embarassing.
Anyway, my two cents worth (1.8 cents US).

In an attempt to answer the original question (and avoiding the discussion about the purpose of a vacation and the availability/cost/security of H2's WiFi):
The safe is made by Elsafe and the product description is here.
In summary, from that Elsafe product spec for the Xtra product line:
the door opening: 5.5" by 11 5/8" or 140x295 mm.
inside dimensions: 7 3/8 by 13 3/4 inches or 188x351mm
The depth is either 14 inches (356mm) or 17 (actually 16 15/16) inches (430mm). I seem to recall the depth as 14 inches, but I could be wrong.
