I tried this recipe yesterday and had little success. The How to Grill cookbook by Steven Raichlen said the oysters would open in 5 to 8 minutes. They didn't -- $50 worth of oysters opened at their leisure and several exploded! At least the grill cover was down at the time! Geri made the wasabi whipped cream.
It was a weird combination to me but I've been meaning to try it. Cream and oysters?
Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the explosion aftermath. Shell dust and pieces were everywhere.

No need for pictures of the explosion but it would be nice to see some of Geri making the wasabi whipped cream. That sounds hot.

Thank you nola, I'll try and come up with something. I actually made the wasabi paste. Overall, it was a train wreck of a bbq. Today I'm back to basics with NY strip steaks and hot dogs.

I have no problem with Geri for dessert but she's delinquent in payment for Steak and BJ Day. At least I'm charging her interest and penalties. www.barbecuebible.com/
