It's that time again, gang: time when my cell phone contract allows me to get a great deal on a new phone. While my RAZR is still working great, I worry that it might be nearing its expiration date (it's nearly two years old). Also, I wouldn't mind having a phone with web access.
Since I'm a loyal T-Mobile customer, and very happy with them, I'm planning to stick with them. And that qualifies me for the Google G1 smart-phone. I've read the reviews, and it sounds great, but I'm wondering if anyone has real, hands-on experience from a real person.
Anyone? Bueller?

Joe, you and I must be the only people around with good RAZR experience. Everyone I know who owned one complained about them. Maybe the T-Mobile ones are better.
The nice thing about T-Mobile is, when I get a new phone, they just move the SIM card into it, and it activates. And if I want to use my RAZR again for some reason, I just need to move the SIM card back, and I can use it some more. Kind of cool!........Jake

Well I got the G1 phone today. Barely seven hours old and I already love it! It's everything an iPhone is, but open source, synced to gmail, etc., and WITH a keyboard! More updates as I learn more about it.......Jake

I own a RAZR and love mine, had it about 2 years now and it takes one hell of a beating. I have thought about an iPhone, but he damn contract sucks.

RH, I can't imagine why anyone would want an iPhone if they could get a G1. The iPhone capabilities are a subset of the G1 capabilities. And it's gay.
