The show was almost a complete waste of time. Sorry, if you happened to have watched it.

Next week the show is in Jamaica but I don't expect much given the qualities of last nights show. The best travel show in my opinion is when Ian Wright hosts Globe Trekker. He's witty, fun and takes an alternate view of the places he travels to.

Me, too. I get home too late from my movie class to see it.

You missed nothing and as I was watching it, I cringed at the thought of recommending it. Personally, I was looking forward to it and given the name of the show, Worlds Sexiest Beaches, you can't blame me, being a Hedo traveler and all.

The only show on The Travel Channel that's a must-see for me is Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations".

Best travel show ( yes he does travel to different cities) is Man vs Food.

I've been watching Man Vs. Food and like it, but the way he stuffs some of the food down his throat makes me a little nauseous sometimes.
BTW, speaking of Bourdain, I recently started reading "Kitchen Confidential" and absolutely *love* it!

When he dies from eating like he does I wounder if they will ch-ch-change the name of the show to "Man vs Coffin". How in the hell do you eat a 7 lb whatever or those super super hot stuff he eats? This dude is going to die young!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Joe

True, but at least he won't die of starvation.

Plus he is getting paid to eat.

Sometimes I'll watch Guy Fierri (or whatever the fuck his name is) (he's the chunky spike-haired dude who does TGIF commercials) on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives." That dude knows how to eat. And on the cheap!

Plus he is getting paid to eat. As much as he eats (not to mention the way he eats), I don't know if you could pay me enough to get that sick. Dude's gotta be purging off-camera at the end of every episode (if not the end of every scene).

The guy is a human garbage pail, in fairness, that's the premise of the show, but I tend to ch-ch-change the channel when he starts to eat entrails, bugs etc.... It makes me sick too.

I think you may be confusing that show with "Bizarre Foods", which is also on The Travel Channel.

I too watched this show and thought it was boring. However, when I was at Hedo in November, the Travel Channel was filming in the disco. I wonder if any part of it will be shown on this weeks episode highlighting Jamaica...

I'll give the show 1 more chance because it's featuring Jamaica but for the most part the program is based on the 2 girls prancing around in bathing suits. That isn't much substance for a travel show. I was disappointed.

I think you may be confusing that show with "Bizarre Foods", which is also on The Travel Channel. Yes, you're correct, I thought it was the exotic food eater and not the bulk eater which I saw tonight. The man vs. food show visited unique local places and those are my favorite stops.

Last night on Man vs Food he ate 17 chilli dogs in less than 1 hour.

On Anthony Bourdain No Reservations, he had a great show about New York restaurants and deli's a couple of weeks ago. Denice made a list of places from the show that we are going to try in July. They looked great.

They looked great. Carnegie Deli in The Theater District and Katz's Deli on The Lower East Side are two that should be on the short list, if they're not already.

I thought the dumb bastard was going to catch fire and implode when he was done eating them. Joe

At the Carnegie Deli, remember to try the pastrami on rye (guaranteed you won't finish it) or the potato pancakes (if they still sell 'em -- been a while since I've paid a visit myself).

Joe,
I don't recall if you saw the Museum of Natural History or the New York Planetarium. Also, the Guggenheim is an interesting stop. We'll have to have dinner or drinks one night when you're here and hopefully BB as well.

Those are all one we missed last time and our on our list this trip.
We will get a hold of you and BB and see if we can arrange time for dinner or a drink. I also owe Bill and Patty a visit.
Joe.
