Art ordered a Kindle for me for Christmas after my Hedo friend Kat raved about hers last Spanksgiving. He ordered it the first week of December. I just got it Friday. I've been rereading books out of boxes in the basement waiting for it to arrive.
I love my Kindle 2. If you are an avid reader I recommend this e-book of sorts. You can download a book in less than a minute. Most new releases are under $10, obviously no shipping. More helpful to me is that I no longer have to lug a heavy book the long walk between the train and work. I might miss the 'feel' of the book in my hands at some point but right now I'm loving this 10oz tool.
You can also get hundreds of newspapers, magazines and periodicals at very reasonable prices.
The Kindle 2 also has an audio option for long car trips or other times you can only listen.
You can look up words in the dictionary or Wikipedia instantly by highlighting the word and the definition shows on the bottom of the screen. This is a great feature for me. I hate skipping over words and only deducting the meaning through content.
It's not cheap at $359, but considering what I spend a year on books and often shipping it's worth it for me. Check it out....
