I got my eye on the West Division Joe. The Giants need to stop the bleeding and snap the 4 game losing streak they are on. The Giants have really turned it around since kicking Barry Drugged Bonds to the curb. They are playing .500 ball, and you can kiss the Dodger's ass goodbye. The Manny Drugged Ramirez will hurt that club. Anyhooo, it's been exciting times in Chicago, Cubs are on a 5 game winning streak, (WHOO HOO!!!!) the Bulls gave the Celtics a hell of a run for their money, the Bears made a switch from two mediocre QB's to a good one, and last but not least, the CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS is the biggest BUZZ going on right now.

The Giants are a long way from being a contender. In both games when it really came time to play ball the Mets looked like a real ball club and the Giants (bastards are pissing me off) looked like want to be's. We need a big bat and a better closer. The Dodgers are going to be hard to catch. I think they have gotten over the Manny shock and are back to playing some good ball. When Manny gets back they may even be better. Joe

Well it was a 2-2 thriller untill they took a thrashing.
I have never been that much into Hockey. I have jumped on the Blackhawks band wagon and have been enjoying the ride and the game of Hockey. It does appear they have met there makers with Detroit. Just being a sports fan in general I could see in game one they were outclassed. Tomorrow is game two. Be there or be square.
psssst.... BTW, keep your eyes on them Tigers. My money says come October it will be the Cubs vs Tigers for the World Champs.
Joe, Sienna and I have been to five games also. Went to Milwaukee for one, took a road trip to St Louis for two and Chicago for two. We went to both Cubs/Giants game. They split that two game series. Lincecum pitched and won the second game. As far as I'm concerned youse guys have the best pitcher in Baseball. He got off on a slow start but is getting right back on track. Anyhooo, they broke that loosing streak by beating the Mets who has been playing excellant ball lately.
psssst...... Gut feeling says come Sept 24 we are going to see a preview of the NLCS!!!!!

psssst...... Gut feeling says come Sept 24 we are going to see a preview of the NLCS!!!!! I hope so. Very very good possibility for the Cubs but I really think it's a stretch for us, but I'll keep thinking positive. All 5 games that we have attended have been at AT&T Park. I watched both of the games against the Cubs(DVR'ed the day one)and they turned out to be pretty damn good games. Timmy is doing better but last Wednesday night against the National he look shaky. Lets see how he does Thursday against San Diego. We still need a big bat. Heading out Monday to see the Braves and next Saturday to see the Cardinals. Joe.

I always do keep an eye on them, but I dont know about that Tiger/Cubs series (though it would be incredibly fun). The Tigs are looking pretty good right now, but Im not sure that they have what it takes for the entire season, let alone the run through the playoffs. However, a single malt toast to Tigers/Cubs series.

It's way to early to tell if Detroit will be handing in there by the end of the season.
The Dodgers, Mets, Cubs, and Res Soxs are the only ones that will hanging around by September.

What a roller coaster evening, Blackhawks on @ 6:30 pm and Cubs on @ 7:05 pm. With the clicker in hand I was like a cat with two pricks going back and forth. Cubs were flat and lost to St Louis 3-0. The Hawks on the other hand was not out classed in game two. They played well, but lost in O/T 3-2. They will bring game three back to Chicago and I'd say a must win. Anyhooo, I have not seen the Tig's play this year. Last season when they got Cabrera from Fla. I thought they be in the run come Sept. As you know it never happened. (I think they were like 6-14 in their first 20 games) I do follow the scoreboard daily via newspaper. They have moved right up and caught my eye. So much so I went ahead and got tickets for their June 23rd three game series with the Cubs. (Sheesh, it's been over twenty years since the last time I was in Detroit or Windsor) It will be for sure a fun series, and who knows, maybe an early preview of the WS?
psssst.... Joe, I see the Dodgers beat the Mets again and the Giants lost a heart breaker 2-1. Your right, doesn't look like Manny's ordeal is hurting them at all.

This game of Baseball has no rhyme or reason. How the FUCK do you go from a five game winning streak, slapping the shit out of the ball, to getting shutout in the first game of series, and loosing another 2-1? PISSES ME OFF!!!!!!

Hottest teams in Baseball right know.
1. Dodgers even with out Manny, just think if he was there.
2. Yankee's A-Rods back and so is his bat, 7 home truns in 16 games.
3. TIgers, A surprise I think to many
4. Red Sox's As always a very good team
5. Padres. Picitching and hitting working hand in hand. Have won 10 in a row.

Well the Cubs are back on a winning streak (2) and Dodgers are in town for four. In 20 minutes I'll be getting my first look at LA this year.
psssst..... Last season (08) the Tigers had an arsonal and reinforced it with Cabrera (from the Marlins) Looks like it took them a season to get their shit together.
psssst.... And together it is.

That LA team is a real ball club. We have seen them this year at the park and for 8 other games on TV. Hopefully the Cubs will at least get a split out of them but they are on fire right now. Wait until Manny comes back.
The Giants are 10 games back already and play the Cardinals this weekend. Hopefully we can at least win 2. Will be there live Saturday night.

On Saturday night in a very important NCAA baseball game in the regionals, the Texas Longhorns beat the Boston College Eagles 3-2 in 25 innings, making it the longest game in NCAA history. The previous record for the most innings in an NCAA baseball game happened in 1971, in a game between Louisiana-Lafayette and McNeese State.
The game lasted 7 hours, 3 minutes. It ended at 1:05 AM local time(central time).
There were 683 pitches thrown.
There were 192 plate appearances and 171 at bats.
Texas pitcher Austin Wood threw 13 innings and 169 pitches out of the bullpen.
Wood did not allow a hit for the first 12 1/3 innings.
Wood allowed 2 hits, 0 runs, 4 walks, and struck out 14 in those 13 innings pitched.
120 of Wood's 169 pitches were strikes.
Texas' Michael Torres and Travis Tucker each had 12 at bats, so they now share an NCAA record for most at bats in a game.
Tucker hit the game-winning single in his 12th at bat.
Texas scored 2 runs in the 2nd inning, then not again until the 25th. So it took them 23 innings to score another run.
Boston College's Mike Belfiore had an amazing pitching performance as well that was overshadowed by Wood's. He pitched 9 2/3 innings, allowed 3 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, and struck out 13 over 129 pitches in relief.
Texas' Austin Dicharry recorded the win, and pitched 5 2/3 of 1-hit ball with no runs allowed.
Boston College only had 1 extra-base hit.
There were 42 strikeouts.
7 pitchers did not allow a run.
Texas left 24 runners on base.
Boston College only had 8 hits.
Boston College did not commit an error.
Boston College did not attempt a stolen base.
Texas had 91 at bats and 103 plate appearances.
There were 4 runs scored through 6 innings, then none for the next 18 innings.
There were no triples and only 1 home run.

Well, the cross town classic is in the air, and the White Sox's will be at Wrigley tonight. I gave my tickets to my boy who has been hounding me for a week to get them. He got them only because the weather isn't that great here today, and I'm a tad under the weather to be sitting in a ballpark. I don't know how the hell it happened? It baffles me, and makes me scratch my head, and think where did I go wrong? My son is a White Sox's fan? psssst...... Who'd a thunk!!!!

We had the first half of the bay Bridge Series last weekend and the Giants Sweep the A's in all three games. Denice and I attended Saturday's game and had a great time. Next Monday the second half of the Bay Bridge series take place in Oakland and we may go on Tuesday night.
Right know I am listening to the reply of the Giants- Angels game and we are trailing 7-0. Last night we went to the game and the Angels slammed us early for a 9-7 win. we left at the top of the 8th. Fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think we have been playing over our head the past 2 weeks.

A Big Thumbs up to my first time at Comerica Park in Detroit, its main scoreboard is HUGE, their concessions are great (and fast) and their fans are SUPER. Well, the outcome wasn’t great, they swept us. I didn’t feel too bad about the sweep because those three wins could have went the Cubs way. It was a great series and will be continued in October for sure!!!!!!!
Psssst…… On a side note, sad to see that Detroit looks like it has been in a recession for awhile. The Motor City reminded me too much of Gary IN.
