Don't you think it's about time the TNMC had a Theme song? Here's some of my thoughts. Vote for one or write one in. Kumbaya...... seeHighway to Hell........ seeStir it Up...... seeWelcome to the Jungle.... seeThey're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa..... seepsssst..... Kumbaya gets my vote.

Good idea, DT. We should have a theme song. Of those you mention, "Welcome to the Jungle" might get my pick, or maybe "They're Coming to Take Me Away." I'll have to think about it......Jake

Dayem, I wish I would have waited. I don't like Joan Baez or the fucking Kumbaya song. Welcome to the Jungle would be the way I'd gone, iffin. I'd had it to do over.

I'd go for the Benny Hill theme 'Yakety Sax'

Or maybe Monty Python's Life of Brian 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life'
"Life's a piece of shit, when you look at it..."

How about paying homage to all the Trekkies on the board :
"It's life Jim but not as we know it"

... Or, since we're all brought together by our appreciation of Hedo, howzabout a an obscure, swingin' tune Sinatra recorded in the mid-'70's -- which, IMO, could've been written with Hedo in mind (even though it clearly wasn't) ... "Satisfy Me One More Time"

Just had a strange flashback...........so here's a trivia question for the day to test your memory and to see who really bought this 45 when it was released:
What was on the B-side of the 45 for "They're coming to take me away"?
HedoCanucks
PS. Damn, it seems like any question is meaningless in the days of Goooooooogle. I just tried looking it up and, of course, there it is!! Anyways, it was cool at the time.

[SUNG TO THE BRADY BUNCH THEME SONG]
Here's the story of Chicago Jake Who thought DennyP's wasn’t quite enough To spew all the bile that he wanted So here is where he dumped all his stuff
The others, like lemmings to his call, Came running from the woodwork one and all, Each with his own agenda And it became a brawl.
And each day, the factions grew yet louder And they bitched and moaned and whined all that they could But when someone's having trouble, we’re behind him, Cuz in our hearts we each are really good.
The TNMCs…the TNMCs… That's the way we became the TNMCs…

I think this song by David Byrne would suit this place.

I'd love to see the ingredients to some of the stuff we ate as kids during the 1970's. Tang! Fruit loops! I Can't Believe it's Not Butter! (It isn't!) Marshmallows! Edible Underwear!
They read something similar to:
Sugar coated styrofoam packing peanuts filled with sugar and various oils with artificial colors 1 though 10.
(we ate artificial flavors and colors to the point that it was quite natural)

Some quick research claims "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" was actually a 1980's product, but I recall a plastic tasting butter substitute back then. (maybe it was "I Can't Believe It's Not Plastic"

Zilla (who enjoyed the 1st season of Vicar of Dibley more than the later ones) Thank you for posting that clip Zilla, it had me grinning from ear to ear. I was never really into the Vicar of Dibley but always enjoyed it when I watched it, especially the end jokes, and in particular the first one in this assortment : Did you ever see 'Only Fools and Horses'? This clip is a few minutes long but worth watching through to the end : Simon

Here are both sides of the original 45: As a from-day-one-TNMC-guest-reader/poster I think that "aaaaah-aah yawa em ekat ot gnimoc reyeht" should be considered as the theme song. ;D Enjoy, HedoCanucks
