The Classic Albums Live series at Hard Rock Orlando has kicked off again for 09. We went Friday night to see Fleetwood Mac Rumours. If you ever have the chance to see a Classic Albums performance I would urge you to go.
The premise is very simple. Classic Albums Live is a group of studio musicians and vocalists that I think are from Toronto. They perform the albums live using the instrumentation on the original recording note for note.
The first set of the evening is the actual album with the songs in their exact order of play. After a short break they come out for a second set and play more of the greatest hits of the featured group for the evening.
We saw Sgt. Pepper and The White Album last year. We are going again in a couple of months for Abbey Road and later for Jimi Hendrix's Are You Experienced.
Each time they perform a different album I am blown away by the music and how dead on they are in the performance. For Sgt. Pepper last year the brought in a full orchestra to perform.
The female vocalists Friday night were great. I swear if you closed your eyes you would swear that Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks were onstage.

I never heard of it, but it sounds like a great idea.

Sounds like a very talented group of musicians.
I tried to find a music vid on them. (I had no luck)
