I was up at a neighbor's house this AM talking turkey and he told me he had listed his house for rental during the Super Bowl. I looked at the web site where it was listed and I saw several homes, including his. The price for 1 week was about $30,000. That's not a misprint. I might'a missed out!! DAMN!!

They're doing that here for the Inaugeration. Since all the hotels are full up there is no other option for some. Houses and apartments were listed on Craigslist for anywhere from $5K to 35K for the 4 days - Sat - Tuesday.

Right. The best team doesn't necessarily win -- but the one with the hottest streak *might*. That's what took the Giants to the top last year. You have to peak at the right time and I think that's what the Eagles and the Cardinals are doing.
Joe Nope, the Steelers are peaking a wee bit more. (totting cans of WHOOP-ASS with them)

What a brilliant way to get to Hedo. ;D That was certainly MY thinking Di but Randy could not be convinced. Some are even staying home and offering up a room with an available driver and breakfast made. The really stupid thing is now Randy has decided to take a road trip to visit a sick relative and he won't be home this weekend anyway! (I will though). Colleen

IMHOP it'll probably be the Steelers and the Eagles. But even if the Ravens win they'll beat the Eagles.

OH, Colleen, I hate it when friends go up against each other. However, I will wish your Ravens well, but I'm looking forward to an Eagles, Steelers game. It's a Pennsylvania thing ya know. LOL ;D

Sorry about those Eagles - now at least there won't be anything to worry about at the party... I'm waiting to see what Baltimore does and then we'll decide who we're rooting for in the Super Bowl. If Pittsburgh wins, it will DEFINITELY be the Cardinals for me. So sorry!! Colleen

I'm selfishly disappointed about the Eagles outcome. My birthday is Feb 1st and I was soooo looking forward to the big party that was going to be thrown for my big day.

Well they did make a good game of it the last half. And surely Lady Di's birthday would be cause for a super party no matter who plays in the Super Bowl!

I'm originally from Chicago and used to NOT having a winning team, so I didn't expect anything from the Cardinals.
What a pleasant surprise!
I'll be watching the Super Bowl like I did in the 80's when the Bears won.
Woo Fucking Hoo!!!!

The Steelers not unexpected to be here. The Cardinals unbelievable.
I would like to see the Cardinals win. (since I hate the Steelers from the 70's when the played the Raiders)
I think it will be the Steelers by 10.
Joe.

The person I share my life with wants the Cardinals to win because of Kurt Warner. A friend from another board is for Pittsburgh. Since the Eagles are out, I haven't decided yet.

Bill was at that game against Oakland. They were in the nose bleed section and his dad wanted to leave before the crowds did. They were leaving the stadium when Bill said it sounded like the walls were coming down. They raced to the car and turned the radio on to find out they missed The Imaculate Reception. He has NEVER left a game early since.

I suppose I don't need any excuse to party. ;D It's five o'clock somewhere. (smoke-em if you got-em) pssst...I was rooting, and a hoping for a Pittsburgh/Philadelphia Super Bowl. Sorry to see Philly couldn't make it. WOOO!!!! HOOO!!!! Right back to ya, and Hugzzzz again to you and Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is truly a football city. Youse could be there in the middle of July and them folks would much rather talk football than baseball. psssst..... STEELERS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!! Looks like the Cardinals are living up to the reputation as being the Little Red Engine That Could. psssst...... Steelers are at peak, totting cans of WHOOP-ASS. Steelers by 13.

Remember Super Bowl 3. The mighty Colts would kill the up start Jets..........................
Or Super Bowl 4 the Viking would send the Lowly Chief's packing.....................
I think the Steelers got it but.......................................................................

Well, since I'm from Pennsylvania, I suppose I'll have to root for the Steelers. Ok, Colleen, we don't have to talk about football at the party. LOL Carl, I know exactly what Marge means about Warner.

Well, I for one am rooting for Cardinals - I really like Kurt Warner!! I'm impressed at what they did with the Philly defense - the Steelers/Ravens game was a real defensive challenge too! I think this is going to be one GREAT football game with the Steelers/Cardinals!
Actually, I'm fence sitting a bit on this one - I technically won't be too broken up if the Steelers win again but I'd like to see Warner get one last ring on his hand - he's a hell of a quarterback who isn't given the respect he deserves!
Wish we'd had him here in Washington! We need a good QB!!!

PS. Did anyone hear the report on how McGhee is doing after that hit?? They carried him off the field on a stretcher but he was moving his arms and legs... I know the other guy on Pittsburgh's team who got up has to be HURTING today too!! That was a hell of a hit!
All I see on Fan House is that he can move legs and arms and his neck hurts which is what they announced at the game.
