Okay, off the top of your head, do any of you remember the name of the artist that did the song "Just When I Needed You Most"? I didn't, so I went to my friend Google and found out it was done by "Randy Vanwarmer". Really? Randy Vanwarmer? What an unfortunate name for the 70s. Well, he changed it to that actually... It was originally Randy Van Wormer. Yes, I can see how that would be an unfortunate name all the time, not just in the 70s.
I'm such an awful person, I cannot stop giggling about his name.
Zilla (who always wanted to date a Randy just so I could say "Yes, I'm dating that randy fellow over there". You all can thank Peter Cook and Dudley Moore for that strange compulsion of mine)

The name isn't sooo bad. He could have made jokes such as "Hey girl, wanna come in my Vanit'swamer". And remember how popular vans were in the 1970's. There's a joke in there somewhere. Yikes, no wonder I never got laid back then.......

I do remember how popular vans were in the 70s, and what they were popular for (at least in my neck of the woods). I can tell you I was a randy little van warmer on several instances in the late 70s. That's why I keep chuckling.
Zilla ("It's a joke, sir. A joke name. Like Biggus Dickus or Sillius Soddus.")

Damn Zilla, you made me laugh! I had an orange "surfer" van in the 70's! (Of, course we DID surf! LOL)
