Please read this whiny post at your own risk!!! I have been spoiled. Spoiled I tell you. I am an unreasonable, whiny, bitchy sports fan. I used to revel in my status as a blind follower of teams that couldnt win. I reveled in it. Sox dont win for 86 years....i can deal. pats are maybe the MOST awful team in sports history, and i can take it. Celtics watch 2 count them TWO players DIE.....and i remained a fan. Then the good times. pats beat the rams, stunning. To this day the greatest game i have ever watched in my life. Pats win again? are you kidding me? Then the sox end 86 years of frustration, and the pats win again? ? wow!! to top it all off the celts hang no. 17 at the end of last year. Now....the pats lose to the giants ending the greatest single season of anything i have ever been privileged to watch. I console my wife saying...this was a good thing. The whole country loved this game. The underdogs win in maybe the biggest upset of all time. Plays great on tv, nad we have an embarassment of riches here anyway. Let's be good sports. Then the sox roar back from a 3-1 defecit only to get clobbered in game 7 against the rays....i even had to congratulate tampa fans, 2 of them. i tried to be a good sport. Hey....no biggie. sox will be good next year. but last night was the last straw!!! after watching tom brady go down to acl injury, and rodney harrison have his career ended abruptly by a torn quad muscle, and adalius thomas go down to a broken arm, and lawrence maroney suffer from some sort of "whiny baby" disease.....to have a chance, to come back at the last second to force overtime in a game they werent even in until the last quarter....only to lose on the coin flip (and a pretty impressive 16 yard completion from favre on 3rd and 15 in ot) in overtime is just too much to swallow. It is time for the good of all football fans to ch-ch-change the way they play OT in the NFL. both teams should get a posession. More fun for the fans, and more fair for all of us. the jets....oh the agony!!!!!

Bitch, bitch, bitch. Massdebater you have been lucky. We have the Warriors 1 trip to the playoffs in the last 16 years(why do you think you see a Lakers avatar) The Giants 3 trips to the World Series in 50 years,no wins and right now looking at most likely another shitty season, The 49ers, haven't won shit in 15 years. The Raiders the most embarrassing team in the NFL, and the A's a once proud ball club who now has become a cellar dweller in both wins and losses and payroll. And you think you have it bad by losing a game in OT.
Joe ( Who is a Giants fan because they have a great ball park to play in and I like to go there)

*I am so freaking sick of the high road!!!* Congrats BB!! nice game!!
in all seriousness, joe, i realize how incredibly lucky we have been. I keep telling my wife that this is not the way it goes. the patriots dont win 3 superbowls, and play in the greatest superbowl of all time....they just dont....they electrocute their coach, they flush the toilets in their new stadium only to see all of them over flow. they go to a superbowl, and end up in a drug scandal right after. THAT is the pats, well at least it was.
I get it. stupid jets. i swear im not ungrateful, but I am having a harder time with the lovable loser thing. I found it much easier to be a gracious winner.....

The way the Pats came back from a big deficit in that game against the Jets shows that team has pride and heart. Their record is still over .500 so they are hardly losers. Being a Jets fan for 35 years, I know they are just setting me up for a good heartbreak, but there's nothing I can do about it -- I'm drawn to them like lemmings to the sea.

Sure, maybe we'll do a reenactment of your plunge into the ocean at the next H2 party. By the way, this brings to mind the great massages available at H2. I got a complete body massage treatment and I'm still lingering in the after glow. Try it on your next trip, I highly recommend it.
It's a combination of oils, a mild sandblasting, showers and massage. I wanted to marry the girl that did this for me but I came to my senses and gave her a tip instead.

No Happy Endings but it takes concentration to contain yourself, it's that good.
Last weekend I treated myself to a hot stone massage at a day spa. It was recommended by a friend and while I did enjoy the hot river stone treatment, it wasn't as good as the H2 complete work-over.

Is that considered a hot lotion treatment or more of a derma-abrasion?

The 49ers teams of the 1980s and early 1990s are considered by me to be among the greatest teams in NFL history, with the likes of Bill Walsh running the Montana and Rice show. They were unstoppable.
pssst.... I was at the 1988 NFC Championship game when the 49ers traveled to Soldier Field. (the chill factor at game time was 30 degrees below zero) They stunned me and my Bears 28-3 in an NFC Championship upset.

I have always hated the 49ers so there last place finishes and countinued losses make me very happy.
Bay area sport teams just coninue to suck. Unless they are winning the attendance record (except for the Giants because of there state of the art ballpark) are in the shitter.

The Giants have a great ballpark @ AT & T park. Lots of beer stands, some great food Tri tip sandwhich, crab sandwhich, clam chowder in a bread bowl, and they ahve tow full bars that make on hell of a Jack Daniels and 7. There is not a bad seat in the house. Denice and I really enjoy going to the park and plan to increase the number of game this year.
So far we are doing about 14 Giants games next year. April 8 vs the Brewers, April 18 vs Diamondbacks, April 28th vs LA Dodgers, May 16th vs New York Mets, May 25th vs Braves, May 30th vs the Cardinals, June 13th vs the A's, June 15th vs the Angels, June 20th vs Rangers, August 1st vs the World Cahmpion Phillies, August 10 vs the LA Dodgers, August 29th vs the Rockies, September 12th vs the LA Dodgers, and our final game on September 26th vs the Cubs. Hopefully we might get a playoff game or two if they play some decent baseball,
We are also planing on doing a New York Yankees game on July 24th vs the Oakland A's at the New Yankees Stadium when we return to NYC this next year.

We are also planing on doing a New York Yankees game on July 24th vs the Oakland A's at the New Yankees Stadium when we return to NYC this next year. and our final game on September 26th vs the Cubs. GO CUBS!!!!!!! Joe, with the likes of Tim Lincecum, who got the well deserved Cy Young award for 08, and being the first club to strike in the free-agent market, signing free-agent reliever Jeremy Affeldt. Tells me they are well on their way to playing decent ball.

You will freeze your ass off there at just about any night game. Fog, wind, cold. We had one night this year that was nice and didn't have to put my jacket on until the bottom of the second inning, and that game started at 6:05PM. Most the time by the first pitch you are bundled up.

I turned on the game yesterday, seconds before halftime... 35-3... then I saw the Detroit highlight for the day, a knocked down pass and recovery taken to the Tennessee 2. Saw Detroits ensuing TD then turned to the National Dog Show... it was much more exciting than watching the Lions.
