As Seinfeld himself would say, "That's a shame...." ************************* “Seinfeld“ Actress Passes27-Aug-2008 Written by: Justin Zaremba Ruth Cohen, an actress who appeared in nearly every episode of “Seinfeld“ as the cashier at Monk’s Cafe, died on August 23 of a heart attack.According to Variety, actress Ruth Cohen, who appeared in more episodes of “Seinfeld” than anyone except the main stars, died on August 23 of a heart attack in Panaorma City, California at the age of 78. Cohen’s character on “Seinfeld,” the cashier at the Monk’s Café, was known by her real name, Ruthie Cohen. She appeared in nearly every episode of the series. Cohen, who was born in the Bronx, began acting in the 1980s after raising two children, starting as an extra for shows including "Golden Girls” and “Murder She Wrote.” A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Sinai Hollywood Hills. I dont recall that she ever spoke. Going to have to think on that. There was one episode where George thought she had shortchanged him with ch-ch-change for a ten when he gave her a twenty. Her argued with her, but I'm not sure there was any audible dialog.......Jake

Her argued with her, but I'm not sure there was any audible dialog.......Jake Found this while reading on line. Looks like she was a no talker. Trivia Outside of the big four, she appeared in more episodes than any other actor on the show "Seinfeld" (1990). She was a part of the show since the very early episodes, and seen (but not heard) right up to the finale.
