Damn, he was one of the greatest contributors to comedy and satire on the human condition. We're going to miss his poignant words.
Many years ago (late 1980's) he was interviewed on public radio WBAI in New York and he was talking about those yellow signs, similar to traffic warning signs that people started to hang up in their car windows by suction cups.
Carlin said he disliked the the signs so, because "who the the hell are these people to tell us to drive safer around them, because there's a baby on board." Carlin then added, "the signs should say asshole at the wheel."
I'll never forget that interview because his frankness wasn't heard like that at the time and he said it so plainly.
It's sad, he was too young.

I wonder if any of the 'seven words' got him past St Peter?

I know that there is truly a dark cloud over all of Shining Time Station this morning. It is a sad day especially for Thomas the Tank Engine now that he has lost Mr. Conductor.
One can only hope that Harvey Korman is waiting on the platform at the big train station in the sky to warmly greet Mr. Conductor.

His comedic sense of humor always made me laugh so hard I would almost tinkle. My son was small when he narrated Tomas the Tank Engine and it always amused me that these small children were listening to a sweet sounding man tell the stories of Sodor, when he could say things that would make a sailor blush.... A sad start to the day.....

It's sad, he was too young. John McCain is thinking the exact same thing. -- BB (wondering what exactly is a "comedic sense of humor")

Now there are a LOT more than seven words that he can't say on television. Or anywhere else, for that matter.

Death is nature's way of putting you in Hibernation Mode for energy conservation (another way to "go green", as it were).
