No, Fifi, that would be what you sing when you're dusting in your French Maid's outfit.

Thet just shows how little you know me. In those cases I sing "I Enjoy Being a Girl".

Beeb and Gordon, we are friends here. You can come out of the shower to us. Be who you are.

Thet just shows how little you know me. Something for which we can both remain immensely grateful.

The lead vocals sound like a cross between Dean Martin and Frank Zappa with the back up chorus having a hint of The Beach Boys.

While I'm soaping up and anticipating a big night out I sing to Hot Chocolate's, You sexy thing (1975) While I'm showering and getting ready for a night in the pub, or a trip to the local Indian Curry restaurant (perhaps to enjoy a Vindaloo), I like to play something befitting my mood ;D FYI Gary, the guy singing is Lily Allen's father Keith Allen. I've gotten more than my fair share of shampoo in my eyes singing this one. Don't you just love the innocence and shear fun of this easy going classic?
and if know one is home.... watch out!

Here's another version. Promise me my TNMC and Hedo friends, that if you see me dancing like this in the H2 disco, you'll rescue and take me straight to bed.

Ok, I don't `Irish Spring` to this one but......
This song was a classic and exemplified the moment in time.
The group of us, around 16 to 19 years of age lived in the discos of NYC and the suburbs. We each had our parents Caddie's (shallow and living for the day teenagers that we were) and during the summer of 1978 and into the summer of 1979, came home from the discotheques when the sun came up. Dancing and hard partying was the protocol of the day.
Machine - There But For The Grace Of God Go I -- seemed written for us, as all were from the Bronx and fitting this description ---
Carlos and Carmen Vidal just had a child A lovely girl with a crooked smile Now they gotta split 'cause the Bronx ain't fit For a kid to grow up in Let's find a place they say, somewhere far away With no blacks, no Jews and no gays
We used to park along the Palisade Cliffs looking into Lower Westchester (Yonkers) and Upper Manhattan (Inwood) as a respite from the noise and crowds of the night. The Hudson River being a peaceful yet ominous black to the shimmering lights to the city structures above.
The N.Y and N.J. troopers never bothered us.
(and when the Son of Sam was out during the summer of 1979 we did tend to lay low in the outer burbs)
Play this through a good sound system!
