That is not the Cally I watched every week!!!! Bill is partial to BoaVista... Personally, I wouldn't mind if Ryan was canned.....a little too cocky. And yes...Horatio DOES rock.

I don't watch any of them enough to have a favorite, but they all seem pretty good.
David Caruso cracks me up. He delivers every line, even if he's just ordering lunch or something, as if it is a major dramatic moment, dripping with sarcasm! Always good for a laugh.
And what's with all the goofy names? Horatio? Jethro? (I know, that one isn't really a CSI)

Ah Jake, it isn't wise to make fun of Horatio....shades or no shades.... I had wondered for a while who the next one to go would be. Did not see that coming. DD( Like Amrod is not a silly name....)

I can't really get into CSI: NY but I do enjoy CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI : Miami. The problem here is that the shows have been picked up by several stations all showing different seasons, so unless you're a fan that knows the storylines well you never really know where you are. As for Caruso/Horatio, what a knob!! His over self-important over dramatic delivery of his lines is hilarious, as spoofed in 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' : Sarah Marshall: "Remember how we thought the killer masturbated before commiting his crimes?" Detective Hunter Rush: "Yes?" Sarah Marshall: "Take a look..." Detective Hunter Rush: "...looks like where he's going he'll need to know how to masturbate." tnmc.proboards42.com/index.cgi?board=MovieDisc&action=display&thread=7502&page=1#115270Simon

I think Caruso way overacts. I like the show but can only laugh at his lines. I prefer the original CSI (in Vegas). Gil Grissom (Will Peterson) is the best. He's smart and has that edge with a secretive personal life we only get little glimpses of. Caruso doesn't seem to know anything about a crime scene but is always first to declare revenge and his personal life is often the subject of the season. Rumor has it that Peterson won't renew his contract when it expires next season. Hope that's not true.

Taking me some time to warm up to the characters on Vegas. But I'm getting there. Anita! How can you say Horatio doesn't know anything about a crime scene??! (Like the shades....very appropriate...). My favorite used to be Speedle. But I haven't seen or heard of him doing anything since he left the show.

Vegas is the best of the 3. We enjoy CSI NY since our trip there last summer reminds us of the city. We have been to Miami also a it is a colorful as the show. Cane always has his head turned sideway like he getting ready for the turn your head and cough exam.
My favorite on all three shows is the Itialian guy on CSI NY.
All three are good shows and should be with us for a while longer.

Personally, I like NY or Vegas but I can't stand Horatio Cane and therefore will not watch it. I think it's gotten worse over the years though because when they started I did like the show. I laugh at him too Jake, now days the overdramatic melodrama gets me every time - the "I'm just too cool for myself" attitude (ugh!). (sorry Viperess...JMO) I usually watch Medium in the same time slot though the whining husband gets on my nerves there too.
