Given that many of us here strive for writing excellence, and the rest SHOULD be, I ran across this little nugget. (Also, its been almost a month since anyone posted in here and I didnt was any statutes of limitation run out) The literary classic "Elements of Style" written in 1918 or thereabouts, has been the 'bible' for correct writing for many a pitiful college student. This homage to insomniacs is now an opera, I think its time for a field trip... www.boingboing.net/2005/10/29/elements_of_style_th.htmlChris, Jake whadausay?

I'm on it! Road trip! What a hoot!
Love goofy theater.
I'm not sure if it will be more impressive than "Cannibal Cheerleaders on Crack" or "Coed Prison Sluts," but how bad could it be?

Hey! Too bad you didn't notice it sooner. Jake is going to be here this weekend (he arrives tonight). If Chris and Gordon were here we could all go check this out! Maybe the Volleyball Player and the Beebster would come out and play, too.

I'm there, just so long as you don't make fun of me when I start to weep as they do "The Series Comma Song".

One of the great things about BB is that he can usually be convince to come out to play. H - next time Jake is around, I'm sure you could arrange a field trip !

For the padding, yes. I also gather the fat from my back and swoop it around to make breasts. But no panties. PS: Sounds like we have a NYC field trip in the making--can we see Spamalot too? Hazel, can I stay with you and Jake? I'm pretty good with a video cam.

Hazel, can I stay with you and Jake? Too skeered to venture into nasty ol' Brooklyn, eh? Tsk, tsk.

Can we do an early January weekend for Spamalot? Say, the 7th or 14th? That would be well-timed because (a) I will have just returned from Hedo by then and (b) it might just coincide with someone's birthday ... and quite a party that would be!

Is I invited? If I go, is it going to be one of those things where you're the only person there that I know?

first of all, you have met a few of my friends - and Hazel is on the list, and if Jake is in town, plus you can bring anyone you want - I don't know who is in the area.

What's this I hear about a party??? Chris, you're welcome to stay with me anytime, even if Jake is in town ... just as long as you don't require lots of SPACE! My apartment is probably as big as a typical Chicago-suburb walk-in closet. I have a comfy couch and an even comfier Aerobed™. But if there's enough space for a tree to grow in Brooklyn ... and if you get a better offer ... I'd understand.

But if there's enough space for a tree to grow in Brooklyn ... Actually, it's more like a twig, but thank you anyway for the encouragement.

BB--is it good for you?

Hazel, you holding out on me and did a pantycheck at one of the Hedo parties? If she did, she would've needed to be holding a microscope in the other hand. Ssshhh! Don't break my concentration -- I'm not finished yet.

That means I'm not done yet either then--that's how that works, right?
And we'll have to stick to that position, given my echo chamber of love and your twig.
