Maybe Not!! "Batman" house escapes damage in Pasadena fireLOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A Tudor style mansion in Pasadena that was used for a number of movie shoots has been destroyed by fire but the house nearby where the 1960s "Batman" TV series was shot escaped damage, fire officials said on Thursday. Early news reports said the house that burned down on Wednesday night was the historic mansion on S. San Rafael Avenue, Pasadena, 15 miles north-east of downtown Los Angeles, that served as the "Wayne Manor" of Batman TV series fame. That house was reported to have been bought by former Beatle Paul McCartney in 2005. But the 16,000 sq foot (1,500 sq meter) home that caught fire was actually further down the street. Some scenes from "Rocky V" and the Peter Sellers movie "Being There" were reportedly shot there. The owners were not at home when the fire started and the cause is unknown.

Apparently, Alfred was smoking in bed again. Farewell, stately Wayne Manor! My money is that Robin was freebasing near the rocket fuel tanks of the batmobile. Aunt Harriet will file for the insurance claim.

Can't blame him -- I'd be freebasing, too, if I was some rich dude's "ward" and he made me run around in tights and a cape.

I'm not so sure this isn't a work of arson. Probably someone from Marvel Comics.

And *I* need to quit reading Australian newspapers! (Sorry Oz....no offense intended.) D Don't worry I wouldn't read Australian Newspapers either. Most of them aren't worth the paper they are printed on.... Crap journalism and sensationalism at its best. Accuracy is something you only get around to checking when someone is suing you..... Ozmale
