I wasnt exactly sure which portion of this board to put this topic in. I hope it fits here. Recently for my birthday i was given a gift of a dvd set.....it was called VICTORY AT SEA,a nd it was produced in the 50's, but reproduced for the dvd's with intros from Peter Graves (famous for so many reasons, but the best one is still airplane's "have you ever seen a grown man, naked?) the dvd's recount the battles on the sea in the conflict known as ww2.
European, and pacific theaters, and footage taken from americans, and allies, as well as japanese, and germans. very interesting stuff. i am a huge fan of history in general, american presidents and wars especially...and this is a little hokey based on its production dates, but damn its interesting to watch.

Watched most of that on History Channel a few years back when they did a lot of WWII stuff. It is a great series.
