Georgette! You Hot Sexy Mama!!!! Welcome to Jakey's message board!
I don't get to watch TV too often, and I forget which nights the different "Law & Order" programs come on, but at one time or another I've seen a few episodes of all of 'em. They're all pretty damn good, IMO.

Hi Georgette! Welcome aboard.
I still like the original one the best because it seems the most fast-paced. Probably because it's really two episodes in one: half an hour to catch the guy, and half an hour to try him. Double your fun!.....Jake

We like SVU the best. The original is good and we hate Criminal Intent.

The various shows are on as follows:
SUV Tuesdays at 10 est on NBC Original Wednesday at 10 est on NBC CI Sunday at 9 est on NBC
(Check your local listings)
You can also catch it on TNT and USANetwork at other times.
I'm not sure how Dennis Farina is going to work out. I didn't like him in another show he did. (I can't remember the name of it but it was a cop show set in the '50's).

I like Law & Order.....haven't seen the others....butt what I never understood is how they let the folks being interview by the homocide detectives just carry on with their work or whatever they are busy with at the time while they are being interviewed.... they even tell the detectives the interview is over!!!!
Dat ain't real life or even close.....you try answering the the phone and carrying on a conversation while a real life homocide detective is interviewing you......ain't gonna happen.....
Butt I loved the assist. D.A Harmon was her name, hated it when she left.

Jerry Orbach is now starring in Law & Order, DOA. ;D
I've only seen one of the Dennis Farina eps so far, and he didn't seem to have caught on to the pace of the show just yet. I'll give him time.
Georgette, I LOVED Farina in that other show you mentioned: Crime Story. It was set in Chicago in 1962 it's first season, then in Las Vegas the second season, and in Mexico the third and final season (as they chased a crime cartel across the globe). I thought that show was great.....Jake
P.S. - Harry, I agree with you about Angie Harmon as "Abbie Carmichael", she was awesome. She wanted to hang everybody!

Jerry Orbach is now starring in Law & Order, DOA. ;D It's funny you mentioned Jerry Orbach. He was going to co-star part time in a new Law & Order call" Law & Order Trial By Jury" starting next season. Joe

Joe I wasn't so much a Law and Order fan as I was a Jerry Orbach and Sam Waterson Fan...Notice how Sam Waterson's character's name is "McCoy"...I'm working on the theory that he's the great, great, great, great, etc. grandfather of Dr. Leonard McCoy of Star Trek... I heard that Orbach had alread done a few of the Trial by Jury Episodes before he had to leave. I think a fitting tribute to Lennie Brisco would be if they'd write one episode where he ends up being murdered, and ALL the Law and Order characters get together to avenge his death...or is that too tacky?

Not tacky at all. The Original Law & Order and the SVU group would be great.Just keep the Criminal Intent group out of it. Joe.

That'd be great, Danimal. And not unprecedented. One of Briscoe's daughters was murdered, I remember. And I think one of the original detectives, George Dzundza, was killed in the line of duty before they brought in Paul Sorvino.......Jake
P.S. - I like how Sam Waterston is now doing TD Waterhouse commercials, a role formerly filled by the old geezer who played Adam Schiff, the original DA! (Steven Hill? Something like that)

I don't know which show is which. I don't really pay attention to the stories either. I just like to see Jesse L. Martin and Vincent D'Onofrio (don't know their character's names) ! They are both cuties.

Did anyone watch the "Trial By Jury" premier? I missed it, but would love to know if they explain Jerry Orbach's character exiting the show, and how he looked.....Jake

I only saw a bit of it (no cuties on that show). His appearance was much older looking. His hair was more grey and his face pale (just a bit). I recall this because I remembered he was dead and was looking for signs of his sickness in the episode.
He didn't look THAT bad, though.

I didnt catch it either, but I heard from friends that they thought that he didnt look very well either. But, that could be from knowing that he died soon after. The old hindsight thing.
