Okay, do you think there is enough Reality TV shows.
The only two I like are Survivor and the Amazing Race. The rest suck and some are getting pretty dumb.
As far as I am concerned Survivor is still the best.
Can't wait for the next season to start here next month.

I don't have a favorite. Every now and then I catch some of the Donald Trump one "You're Fired" whatever that is called and we see things like Queer Eye, What not to Wear....you see who controls the tv in my house and it isn't the theoretical "King".

I've never seen any of the reality shows. Don't know if I'd like them or not, but they hold no attraction. I have a reality life, I prefer my TV to be fantasy.....Jake

I've been watching Survivor and The Amazing Race since their inception. I aver that they have absolutely nothing in common with "The Swan", "Joe Millionaire", The Batchelor(ette), ad nauseum and don't belong in the same genre. The former is unscripted reality - staged, yes, but reality. Put a bunch of people in a situation and see how they deal with it. The latter - uh, not! Beauty contest/popularity contest/game show/pageant. NOT a "reality show", which term I think first applied to Survivor. Survivor, after the FIRST season, got progressively more predictable, since anyone with a TV figured out how "play" it and more often than not the most deserving DID NOT win; The Amazing Race has way more redeeming qualities, the casting sucks, though. Way too many models, with one each token old people, token family, token friends, and MODELS!!!! This season, my (and everyone else's) favorites are Chris and Jon - who are supportive, and love their experiences. The team to hate (and hunt down and kill? Painfully? Well not the whole team, but JONATHAN?) Jonathan and Victoria. 'Nuff said.

P.S. My addiction to Survivor and The Amazing Race, and my attraction to the very very cool things they get to do, has led me to book my mid-life crisis trip -- to -- The Amazon Rainforest/river! in Peru! (www.adventuresforsingles.com/amazon). Extremely cool! Adventure-Lite, if you will. I'm thinkin' that my Hedo days may be over -- there is a whole lotta world out there!

Joe, check out www.televisionwithoutpity.com or www.survivorblows.com and www.amazingraceblows.com. Absolutely hilarious episode summaries! And some good threads, too (although I find tele w/o pity threads too cumbersome). Oftentimes, way funnier than the show itself. Snark is not only NOT discouraged, it is required! The intelligence and wit of these boards puts [another board] to shame. No 'shiny happy people' here, no sir!

Just finished watch the Amazing racing and Jonathan and Victoria just made it. We were hoping they would coming last but they didn't it wouldn't of made any difference since this was not a elimination round tonight.
I would love to do either show if I had the time. Denice think I am crazy but what's new. Win, lose or draw I think it would be a blast.

I don't understand most of these reality TV shows...hell, the Osbornes weren't even on when I left the USA....
I did see "The Surreal Life"...kind of like that show. Hey, any show that could put Tammy Faye and a porn star together on the same show has got to be interesting...

Isn't "Reality TV" a bit of an oxymoron?
There is nothing "real" about any of it ... for God's sake it's TELEVISION!

I would love to do either show if I had the time. Denice think I am crazy but what's new. Win, lose or draw I think it would be a blast. Joe Joe, I too, would like to be on Survivor. I actually printed out the application for this upcoming show. My reasoning is I could lose weight and quit smoking in the 39 days there!!! Either way I would be a WINNER! If I could bring myself to leaving my family for the time necessary to be on the show I would do it! ~DJ~

I think it owuld be blast plus an experience of a life time. But there is no way I could get away for that long let alone leave the family for that long. Joe.

The reality shows don't seem to represent my reality but some are nonetheless entertaining. Entertaining or informative is about all you can ask from the television.

I have never cared for any of the so-called reality shows. The only show (series) that comes close to intreguing me is called "March Madness" , that is about as "real" as it gets. Go Illinois, go Mich St (men), go Minnesota (women), go Mich St (women)
