Does anyone remember Phyllis Diller? When I was a kid, she was a regular on Laugh In, Hollywood Squares, and other shows of that type. She was always hilarious. But I pretty much had assumed (if I thought of her at all) that she was long dead by now.
Not so! She popped up on Jay Leno the other night! I think it was Wednesday. And she was as hilarious as ever! She is about to turn ninety years old, and was in fine form. Leno asked her to come back in two months on her ninetieth birthday.
Anyone else remember her? It was a serious blast from the past......Jake

I remember that about a decade or two ago she had some pretty impressive cosmetic surgery. She actually looked like a hottie (almost) for an old gal!

I remember her on TV specials when I was a kid and even into the early 80's. She was always on Bob Hope's TV specials, she did Laugh In, Sonny & Cher, and I also remember her on the Lucy show as a guest.
She is one of the great comedians from the golden age of TV.
Joe.

Joe you described her perfectly. I always thought she was funny. She did have an amazing plastic surgeon. What I life she must have had...not that it's over yet!

She actually did some kid's cartoons (Scooby Doo) and a few others I think too. She's hysterical and her laugh was GREAT!! Love her!

As I have grown older, I have found much greater sympathy for the ever suffering Fang.
BTW- Diller got her 'break' into show business rather late (in her 40's) as a contestant on Groucho Marx's 'You Bet your Life' quiz show.
