From page 14 of today's edition of AM New York:

James Doohan, better known as "Scotty" on "Star Trek," will be blasted into outer-space in October. Doohan passed away a year ago.

I wonder if this is true? They didn't cite a source in the tidbit posted on the "Buzz" page. What can you expect from a freebie commuter newspaper?
