Interesting show. A bit smarmy but enough twists to keep interest. Is the Japanese guy's friend a key player too? Is the Indian professor a hero... maybe just the mastermind? What's really the deal with the cheerleader's dad...? Will the artist turn bad? A strong start. Chris

Chris, We have been watching this show and are throughly enjoying it. It is a little darker than I had first thought by reading the previews, but it's keeping my attention. It appears that Dad is Bad, I don't think the artist will go bad, I am curious how the power the Internet lady has works...sorta like a doppelganger personality thing. Now keep in mind I haven't watched last night's yet but have it DVR'd.
Is it still keeping your interest?
edited to correct stupid stuff!

I've been catching the last half of it the last two weeks and am throughly lost but will NOT be able to convince my husband to let me watch it instead of Two and a Half Men (which I enjoy too, I've got to admit). I keep missing stuff, I saw the cheerleader try to kill the kid that raped (or was it killed) her this episode, I only saw the two Japanese guys and the artist. I like the show though...

LOL! Heidi - actually, I asked him if he wanted one when the show first came out and he said, "No" but then, before we left for the SH Reunion, he came home with (of ALL things) a shirt like Charlie Sheen's and was rather proud of himself that he bought a "nice" shirt. (and it DOES look nice on him) - he wore it to dinner when we were there... Go figure.... Deb, we need to get a DVR - will look in to it for Christmas... Colleen

We're definitely still enjoying Heroes! There are a couple of characters I don't really care for (the internet girl.....I wonder how her 'power' will come in handy?) and the cop who can read minds (I like him, the story line with his wife is irrelevant). I think the Japanese character, Hiro, is wonderful...the actor brings such an exuberance to the role & it's well written for him. I find it interesting that the artist can only bring his gift to light when shooting heroin....dark & interesting.

Yes, we saw it this week...it was great. The guy who came over is one of the "heroes"....but not related to the artist ... he was sent to the artist by the Japanese guy, Hiro....who came back from the future & told him to visit the artist (confused?) It can be tough to follow if you don't catch the entire episode(s). I'm still loving their tag line: Save the cheerleader. Save the world. How can you resist that? Liz

yeah, really, I have got to set up the tape in the other room so I can see the whole thing and still watch 2 and a half men with Randy. (the taping is optional but he wants me there to "spend time" with him and watch our show - and I do like that show too). Otherwise, I'll never figure this out and for some reason Randy enjoys the re-runs of Two and a Half Men too so I won't even be able to ch-ch-change the viewing on Monday nights after they go into re-runs....Oh well, it could be worse, he could NOT want me to watch TV with him...

Ok, so what's your take on last night?? Is the Cheerleader REALLY safe now? She can't be killed but I guess this guy CAN kill the Heroes if he wants to. What superpower does that woman have that was working with the Cheerleader's father? Why is she talking to the Hero killer?
Any takers? I haven't been able to watch the whole episodes until the last two weeks. (I've been mutinying on poor Randy who is watching Two and a Half Men by himself). I'll pick those back up in the re-runs.

(I just LOVE him.... ) and then there's the Indian guy - he's going to take on completing his father's work - I get that he compiled a list of all the Heroes but WHAT exactly is the Indian guy going to do for them?? How did saving the cheerleader save the world? No one has said....

Excellent recent episodes, though we still aren't sold on good/bad girl. What a slut... (Decent shot though.) Hiro was notably minimized this time - perhaps a build up for Peter. Maybe he's the key, combining multiple powers when needed... (Hope he's a quick studdy!) Chris

Maybe Peter is really the one who saves the world - and saving Claire just keeps him in the game. It sure looks like some radioactive guy explodes though... A ruse perhaps? Chris

I've been watching since the beginning.
Peter is the guy that explodes according to the glimpses of the next show. I'm thinking that he can absorb all these powers when he's by the other people that it overhauls his system. I wonder if coming in contact with Sylar and then the mind meld that the cop did to him might have triggered something.
Here's a random thought I had. Save the cheerleader, save the world. How about if Peter was suppose to die saving the cheerleader, hense he wouldn't explode? I also thought that if Peter explodes on the ground he destroys the city, but his brother can fly and couldn't he pick up Peter into the air and have him explode there?
The good/bad girl.... she just has a split personality that she took on when her sister Jessica died and daddy began abusing her. As she said in the show last night. Jessica took over when he was beating her. One of those personality conflicts with a nutty twist.
I'm typically wrong when I theorize, so take this as my opinion only.
I just wonder where Sylar is going to come into play when Peter turns nuclear.

Didn't Sylar die last night when the girl shot herself or did he just succeed in NOT getting her power? Peter didn't die because he absorbed some of the cheerleader's power - that's the way I saw it anyway. I don't understand that if he was sick in the police station and she came to see him why it didn't heal him then? What about the hatian guy that is working with the cheerleader's dad and he apparently was supposed to "clean out" the cheerleader but didn't?

I don't think Sylar died when he made the mind bender girl shoot herself. At least I didn't see that he did, I could have missed something, but all they showed was the blood spatter when she shot the gun. I think he did get her power and switched it on her. That was my take on it.
I didn't understand it either that with the cheerleader by him why he didn't feel better in the police station. That one baffles me. I think the Hatian guy knows that she is important and didn't want to wipe her memory because the world needs her. The Hatian might also know that the dad is bad and it was the dad who did this to everyone.
What I meant about Peter is that he was suppose to die, but because he was by the cheerleader he changed the course of events. He is now not dead because of his abilities. Everything painted showed the cheerleader by herself, but when the scene was actually happening, it was different than painted. Was he suppose to save the other cheerleader and get himself killed by Sylar? It's weird because he was suppose to die yet he is also the guy who is going to explode. I'm all intrigued and I'm rambling.

I've been occasionally looking at this tread since it started and looking forward to watching this show, but it hasn't started yet in the UK, and I don't even know if it has been picked up by one of our networks yet. However, one of the guys that works for me has been downloading it (yes I know it's wrong) so I may have to throw a few blank DVDs his way so I can catch up.

Please do Simon - would love your take on it too. I've really enjoyed watching it so far - they had a "marathon" of Heroes shows on the Sci Fi network over our Thanksgiving so that's how I got all caught up. They are also showing them on SciFi (or were) in the evenings. Is this a network on Cable that you might get over there? (I can't remember and my sister's cable might well have been different then what you can get in England).
It's been a good hour to lose yourself to something that's intriguing but not being DRAGGED out totally all to heck like they've been doing with LOST though I think if they DON'T drag LOST out then they won't have much of a story. Interesting theory about Peter - I didn't even think that maybe he was supposed to die - now remember he fainted or looked like he died in his brother's arms at the end of it. Seemed to me his brother couldn't revive him. What did you think about that? I wonder where Hiro comes in with all of this. He's the one traveling time and telling Peter to save the Cheerleader....
I didn't get that when mind bender girl shot herself (wasn't up on exactly WHAT she could do) - I thought she did to prevent him from getting her power when it became clear to her that she couldn't shoot him. Colleen

Its obviously regionalised but seems to have similar content to its US cousin, though there is no sign of Heroes on it yet. Simon

I've only watched the first two episodes and have another four lined up to watch over the next few days, but so far I like the cheerleader the best. I'm quite intrigued by a character that can get so mangled up then just pop herself back into shape again. The Japanese guy is entertaining too.

The one thing I can't quite figure out is the split personality girl (the blonde). I can't get where she comes in here, I know her husband has powers and they don't know the kids has powers yet but I think their kid's powers are stronger or better then theirs. I just don't get what she has to do with anything else that's going on...any theories??

No theories on the split personality. I think she's just one of those that has an interesting result from whatever was done to them, but she's expendable. I think they will off her or a group of 'bad guys' will form and she'll join them.

Thanks for the info.
Funnily enough, unlike with 24 and Lost, with Heroes I really am just enjoying watching the story unfold without try to come up with any theories of my own about what is going on. To me it is 'feel good' TV that I can just sit back and enjoy and let the story be told to me.
