Saw "Constantine" tonight, the Keanu Reeves Devils-vs-Angels flick. Full review soon come, but in the mean time, I liked it. Lots of Catholic mysticism, great imagery, some good groovy violence, and many scenes of Rachel Weisz soaking wet! What's not to like? Clearly not a flick for everyone, as it requires a HUGE load of suspended disbelief, but if you can handle that, it ain't bad......Jake

Looking forward to your review, Danimal P.S.---Had the greatest dream last night...dreamt that I was at Hedo and Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman were there on the nude beach...Kidman looked stunning as ever, but Cruise had the body of Homer Simpson! ;D ;D (Jake and I first met online when we found we had a mutual dislike for Mr. Cruise...and I am very proud to say that I have NEVER seen a single Tom Cruise movie....okay, I did see "Rain Man" but that doesn't count...I saw it because I used to worked with Autistic kids in College, and I am a huge Dustin Hoffman fan .)

Danimal
Absolutely no doubt that Hoffman was the movie... Cruise was just along to drive the car, and that part could have been played by anyone

Danimal, I'll look forward to your assessment. I know nothing about the comic books, so I'm curious how true the movie was to it......Jake
P.S. - I hope Nicole was wearing her glasses while naked in your dream. Great look! And the only redeeming factor of "Eyes Wide Shut."

Here's the full review that I posted at the TNMC website:
francis lawrence’s “constantine” (keanu reeves, rachel weisz, tilda swinton, and peter stormare). keanu reeves plays a chain-smoking, demon-hunting gumshoe type in this demons-vs-angels flick, steeped in catholic mysticism. lots of great imagery right out of dante’s inferno, tons of groovy violence, and many scenes of rachel weisz soaking wet! what’s not to like? peter stormare plays a great satan, and tilda swinton makes a good duplicitous gabriel. the story revolves around demon-buster reeves helping weisz prove that her twin sister did not commit suicide, and therefore can be buried in hallowed ground. naturally, they uncover a bigger game afoot, and have to battle the demons from “the other side” with their fists, guns, and souls. some viewers might quibble that the story is completely unbelievable, and they’d be right; you need a healthy dose of suspended disbelief to get into it, but I had no problem. oh yeah, and stay for the credits... you get one final scene after they finish rolling.
P.S. - they pronounced the name "ConstanTEEN", not ConstanTINE", which I was wondering about. But I'm still not sure how to pronounce Rachel WEISZ.

WEISZ is pronounced "VISE", according to the lady hersef during an interview I saw on TV when "The Mummy Returns" was being promoted.
Edited to add:
