I have not seen ANY of the Academy Award nomiated movies yet. And the ol' danimal is turning the big 4-5 on Sunday, so I am treating myself to dinner and a movie.
Dinner will be at Applebees (as they have a Weight Watchers menu) and the movie???...I'm leaning toward Million Dollar Baby or Neverland...any opinions? Anything better? I'm a movie omnivore...I'll go and see anything once...the good ones I'll see twice.
Thanks guys
danimal

Can't help you, Danimal. I don't even know what movies have been nominated. I HATE the Academy Awards and do my best to ignore them. And I usually don't end up seeing many of their movies anyway.
Of the current movies out that I haven't seen yet, Million Dollar Baby is at the top of my list, since Clint did such an excellent job directing "Unforgiven" and this sounds like it might be in the same league.
Happy Birthday!......Jake

Well the only movie I have seen yet that is up for an Oscar is the movie Ray. Jamie Foxx will be hard to beat on best actor. He did a great job

Happy Birthday!......Jake You are a very wise man Jake. Think about it...do WE, the common folk, have ANY say in what movies are nominated? No. Do we get to vote on them? NO. So...what's so special about these flicks? The Academy Awards is kind of like the electoral college of Entertainment. Screw it. I'm going to Blockbuster and renting a video that _I_ like.
