Haggis and Blood Pudding (Blood Sausage) have a place on the menu. Has anyone tried Spotted Dick? I think it's more healthy compared to the others and depending on usage in a sentence, provides more camouflage.

I think the gay neighbors were out at the bar trying to spot some last night.

Spotted Dick is a popular dessert in the UK. It's made from steamed suet and currents (the 'spots') and is usually served with custard. I've eaten it many times and I remember when I was a kid that it was often a dessert option at lunchtime in the school canteen.

We have plenty of goofy food names on this side of the puddle, too. Can you imagine telling a non-English speaker that you had a "hot dog" for lunch? And a "sloppy joe" sounds like it could be some sort of gay orgy thing.......Jake
