Rhonda has suffered an aneurysm in her brain that bled slightly. She is currently doing fine with no problems, is awake and alert. However, this is complicated by a dissection of her right carotid artery . . . a tearing of the blood vessel. As I type this, I have come home to pick of some things for her as she is likely going to have surgery either tonight or tomorrow at Tampa General Hospital. I spent about 2 hours this AM going over all the findings with the doctors. This is quite serious and she is taking it much better than I. For those who can, please say a prayer for her. I may not be around for awhile. .............Bob

Bob
I'm totally in shock at this news. The wise words and advice you sent me in the aftermath of my own personal crisis last year meant the world to me, so now it is my turn to help a friend as best I can by telling you to both keep thinking positively at all times. I wish there was more I could do to help. You are both in my thoughts and prayers.

OMG...I'm so sorry, Dr. Bob. Please give Rhonda an extra hug from all of us here, and as Harrybutt said, prayers are already on their way. I believe the power of prayer at a time like this does miracles. I will be praying that the Drs hands are filled with nothing but healing powers for Rhonda at this time of need.
God bless you both, and cling to each other.
with love,
diane

Thank you all for the well wishes. Rhonda came through the 4 hours surgery with FLYING COLORS!! I on the other hand, feel like a cardboard box house after a hurricane. Rhonda's mother and sister and one of my sisters flew down today to be with us. I spent 4 hours today unlike anything I have ever known in my life while she was in surgery, wondering whether I would ever see her alive again. It was the most stressful moments of my life . . . and at that time I was all alone with only my thoughts of all that we have loved together. We still have a ways to go, but I saw her tonight after surgery and she looked great. She never ever seemed upset at all, while on several occasions I nearly lost it. I received a call on my cell phone, "Dr Patton, we're done. She did fine!" and I jumped for joy!! Once again, thanks for all the wishes and prayers. Keep them up a bit longer, but I feel like the weight of the world has come off my shoulders. God I love her so!! ..............Bob
