For anyone who cares, its Kentucky Derby time again. Perhaps the only day in the year that America remembers that cars are not the only thing that races around an oval. The good news is that George Steinbrenner is owner of the pre-race favorite "Bellamy Road", and a just God would NEVER allow the Evil Steinbrenner to win both the Derby and the World Series in the same year. (No baseball owner has EVER won the Derby AND the World Series in the same year ) www.detnews.com/2005/moresports/0505/02/C04-167773.htm

I'll give those horses the same advice I give to my NASCAR-watching buddies: "Go fast, turn left, go fast, turn left, go fast, turn left......."

... cars are not the only thing that races around an oval. There's also my poo when the toilet flushes. Kinda looks like the little fellers are racing ... either that, or they're chasing after those poor li'l pieces of corn ...

either that, or they're chasing after those poor li'l pieces of corn ... I'm innocently sitting here, having some of Jakey's coffee (shocking, I know, but I was in the mood for it!) and chewing on an English muffin when I come across the BB's last post. I almost choked on the muffin because I was LAUGHING MY ASS OFF!!! Yeah, OK, I'm ashamed of myself.

Back to the thread here. George's Horse lost to a 50 to 1 long shot by the name of Giacomo. Well the glue factory will be busy Monday. Joe. Maybe not Joe... the horse (7th place!) only cost $800,000 chump ch-ch-change for Steinbrenner. The horse is definately faster on the base paths, I see a designated runner slot opening up! The winning horse was 50-1 out of the gate, the second longest shot in KD history The real loser yesterday was Bandini, the horse was right next to Steinbrenner's horse in the gates and was the number two horse by the betting pool... finished 19th place, 33 lengths back. The other losers were two trainers, who combined, trained 8 out of the 20 horses in the field... SHUT OUT of the top three money slots. THere stock is definately DOWN this morning.

Leave the gun. Take the canollis...... OOHH! I know where that one is from! It was the last words uttered in The Vatican right before Pope JP2 was sucking his last wind (kinda like Steinbrenner's horse right about now, come to think of it ... )!

"Leave the mitre... take the kielbasa"... You're confusing your film quotes. That one was from "When Harry Met Sally".
