This is the calm before the storm at Duke's Roadhouse in Dallas before we moved on to Texas Tits where the mayhem ensued : That's me on the left (you're thinking "that's a nice shirt"... and you're right, it is), with my friend Mike who I stayed with in Texas next to me... I was Mike's best man at his wedding at Hedo III in May 2003... his divorce will be through any day now!! Next to Mike is the adorable Mrs Tex, and next to her is the great Tex himself. After this picture was taken we left Duke's for Texas Tits and the evening, as already reported, took a drunken, downward spiral worthy of any group of Hedonites on a night out!! Simon

Wow I had always pictured Tex was an wizened older Texas guy with a beard and barrel chest. I knew from from random reports that Mrs Tex was very pretty. Well I was half right - she is a hottie. hehe
Hope to meet you two in person sometime!

OK... does that mean all the pictures of you which I photoshopped myself into, to show everyone that I know 'Sting' have to be trashed?

Although don't you think that a Sting 'impersonator' like Simon would deny he looked like Sting so people wouldn't mob him in public? I mean he can't have a story about how he and Midnight's Cowboy exchanged words at a place called Texas Tit's spread all around the world.

One thing I thought I'd mention was that two British celebrity chefs, John Thorode and Gregg Wallace, were on my flight home, along with a production team. I saw them as they boarded the plane and again when we were waiting to collect our bags in at Gatwick Airport, and I figured that they had been in Texas filming something for the BBC cookery show 'Masterchef' that they present. It struck me later how nice it would have been if they had taken the trouble to come around the plane serving us our in-flight meal, and perhaps they could have also made their own garnish to help us enjoy it more. Later, for our breakfast, they could have set up an omelette station at the back of the plane and personally made us all omelettes. What do others think? Am I expecting too much from modern celebrities or should these bastards be showing a bit more gratitude to the people that helped get them where they are today? Simon

Nice picture guys, nothing like a cold beer on a warm summer night. I'm glad you had a good time during your visit Simon. Kudos to you for avoiding chaotic bar moments too.

Maybe we can have that Austin Party next year and get the Texas bunch together and drag in some out of state and foreign folks. I hate to say it but I have never met any of the other Texas members of this board, although we had a near miss with Dan this last weekend.

Wow I had always pictured Tex was an wizened older Texas guy with a beard and barrel chest. I know what you mean. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. and Mrs. Tex a few months ago, and I expected a sort of Yosemite Sam looking dude, only taller. Visuals did not live up to expectations, but they were both wonderful folks in all other respects. Definitely good people......Jake

Definitely good people......Jake I met Tex and his lovely wife during my one and only trip to Hedo without Rhonda. Nothing but respect I have for them both. During the PJ party, I was dressed with a Tuxedo Tie, cumberbun, some silly sock-holding thingies around my knees and a piece of toilet paper hangin' from my ass. I asked Precious to dance and ran out to the floor, only to find me-self all by myself. I think it was the socks. I could be wrong. .........Bob
