When you are getting ready for a trip one of the kids has to get sick?

Your kids do that too? I thought it was only ours that did that. I hope you child is feeling better soon and everything works out for you.
Simon
Edited to add : Your karma was on 'unlucky 13' so I've exalted you. I hopefully your luck will ch-ch-change for the better.

Because they know you are leaving and are excited about your vacation! Our boys still get sick right before we leave for our trips to Hedo. I just will never understand how they can "will" themselves to have a 103 temp. the night before we take off I hope your child is better real soon! Have a great trip!!! ~DJ~

If one of the kids start coughing or sneezing when it's close to our time to leave, I quarantine them to their room so that we don't catch whatever it is they have.

Ours always got sick after we would leave. When we would call home we would find out they were sick, then we felt bad for being gone.
Funny how they always go well the day we came home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joe.

sometimes I question the wisdom of having "just one more" my oldest is 12, the middle child is 11 and the baby is 18 months. We must have been NUTS!! As much as I love the little shit, it makes me wonder about my sanity!

I would bet that in a vast majority the first kid is great the second is a little hellion. We stopped at one for that very reason. Gordon PS The fact we are both 'oldest' kids in our respective families has nothing to do with our opinion of 'later siblings'

We had two, then we thought about a third for all of 5 seconds, then called the doctor for the snip job.

Ok, a little update on what the fuck else could go wrong while on vacation. My middle son (11) decided while we were in Jamaica that it would be a good idea to get appendicitis and need to have surgery. He was with his mom, and everything turned out fine, but there is nothing like getting a phone call as you are getting ready for dinner letting you know your son is being prepped for surgery. I talked to him the following morning, and he said he was fine and didn't want us to come home (great kid)! Everything turned out fine, but nothing like a few tense hours waiting for news.

I am very glad to be rid of the first one! I wouldn't wish that bitch on anyone, HOWEVER I can't knock her for being a good mom to my oldest two kids.

Too bad I can't say that about my 1st ex-wife. He was good with the kids when they were little, but is as useless as tits on a bull now.

It's also only part of the quote. It should be "Mean people suck... Nice people swallow"
