Well, this isn't a vacation, and it isn't Hedo, but I feel closer to Hedo knowing I'm in the land of Chicago Jake! Arrived last nite..ALONE Jake, my dear, I don't have your email address with me. Drop me an email, would LOVE to see you. Brett flies in Wed evening, seeing Bob/Val on Thursday nite.. maybe Wed, maybe even a few other Chicago Hedo locals would like to do a night out on Friday! (although we leave at 7am Sat morn!!!) I also have no plans tonite, poor me, poor me. Drop me a line.. when the 'stupid' people ask questions I surf the net during the training class I'm attending. I know, personal email on the public board... no rules right??? c

Nope, no rules. But you COULD send a private message, or click on the email address in my profile. (it's jcesarone@ripco.com) But this is fine too.
Wednesday night I'm free, after teaching (which lasts until about 8 pm). Friday night I'm totally free.
Depending where you are meeting Bob and Val, you could all join up with me and Larry. We'll be at Carmine's on Rush Street after about 8 pm. Let me know.......Jake

Christie - do you guys have a car? If you do, zip up to Goose Island Brewery on Clybourn and I'll meet you there. You too, Bob.
If no car, I can pick you up downtown, or just meet you downtown someplace.....Jake

My flight was delayed a bit and I just got to my hotel after grabbing a bite to eat. I think I'll just stay home and play. Have a fun party!

If there's a get together on Friday, I just might make it. Tonight was my sons 9th birthday dinner and tomorrow is my 12 hour work day, but Friday is all fun and games.

Bob, I tried to call you tonight, but couldn't find your cell number. I thought I had it in my phone, but I guess not. Then I just hoped you had mine. We even called Diane to see if she had it, but no.
Anyway, Brett and Christie and I had a great time at Goose Island Brewery.
Tomorrow (Thursday) is Carmine's, and Friday is still up for grabs.......Jake

Well Go't DAMMIT I got in late Wednesday night, and seein' as how I needed my beauty sleep for the meeting this AM, I had to forgo the party. Jake, my meeting was right down the road from that Italian Restaurant you me and some famous lady had din-din awhile back. I didn't even know that till I was ridin' by it this AM, thinking, "Hey, I've been there!"
But, I'll be back!! (famous last words!!)

Damn Christie, I wish I knew you and Brett had planned coming to the area. I would have talked you into staying a few more days until we got back! We could have had a repeat of our last Easter Break vacation to NYC with you two!!! I'm sure they have Irish/Scottish pubs in Chicago!!! See you two next Thursday!

Can get crowded sometimes, especially during the Wednesday and Friday all you can eat fish frys. Foods decent and the scotch is great. I believe they carry the broadest range of single malts I've seen in a bar. Even have some nice old Macallan. It's usually where I take people to introduce them to fine whisky. Jeremy

And as for Irish Pubs, there's practically one on every block, but my fave is Chief O'Neils just down the street from where I live.
