Don't know if this should be in here or in "Sound Off" 'cause I am boasting.
Finished it and I know what happens!!!!
(Got it at 8:30 am and finished it by 5pm including breakfast at the cafe next to the book shop, visiting grandma (mother in law) 1 in hospital, a visit from Grandma 2 (mother) and ten pin bowling!)
Let me just say a very good ending to the saga (and I had guess it right....well 60% of it!) but what a death toll!
Regards A Happy and content Ozmale

Hazel and I were in a Best Buy store today (consumer electronics superstore, Oz), and somebody had left a copy of the book lying on a stack of electronic products! I grabbed it and immediately flipped to the last page to see what happens. But Hazel smacked me, so I flipped it back shut and left it where I had found it.
Having never read any of the books (but kept up with the movies) I doubt I could have absorbed much in a short time, anyway....Jake

I forgot that Rhonda ordered the new book and it was supposed to be here today. She is out of town and I'm not yet ready to run out to the mail box nekkid. Damn. I guess it will have to wait till the morning. ...........Bob

Ann pre-ordered a copy on CD some months ago. I presume that UPS will be here to morrow, to add their 'patina' to the sheen of my driveway and deliver the CD's.

I've never read any of the Potter books. I tried once but couldn't get into it. I just looked at Rhonda's and it's over 600 pages. HOW did you read that book in one day??? BLIMEY!!

She decided to pick up the book at the Phoenix airport to read on the trip home yesterday. By the time I picked her up at the airport last night she had reached page 400. When I finally crashed at 1:00am, she was still reading, my money says she finished it before turning the light out. There is NO WAY IN HELL that I can read that fast, I dont understand how people do it and retain any memory of the story. My brain is just not wired that way.

Same here. I'm a very slow reader. My lips only move so fast.

Started it on the 22nd and finished it in 6 days....what with work. I really enjoyed it! And you're right Oz, what a death toll! Now I'm wondering what Rowling will come up with next. Seeing as she's capable of crossing from childrens reading into adult...the first book was written for young ones, but you could see she started crossing in the second and took off from there.
I've actually taken an interest in audio books. If I only had the time to sit down and read, but it's great to listen to when folding laundry and cleaning.....now if they were as reasonable as books...(in price). DD
