Just when I thought all was OK, I find I'm STILL on the no-fly list for SW. TSA tells me that airlines have "discretion." Northwest takes me with open arms, but these fuckers still screw me.
I get to the airport 2 hours early and STILL get a fucking B boarding pass. I'm sitting in line right now and there are 14 fucking pieces of luggage folks have left to mark their spot. What happened about the rule you aren't supposed to leave your backage unattended?

In defense of Southwest Airlines, they usually have the cheapest fare, they have a good ontime record, they have the best safety record (never lost a passenger - knock on wood), they are consistently profitable and aren't asking the taxpayers to bail them out.

I'll go along with Tex they are cheap, they are mostly on time, they have never lost a passinger, and they are not begging Uncle Sam for money to keep them in business.
But they are just like flyinh a gigantic fucking cattle truck. All the attended need are cattle prongs and they would be a set up.
I rather fly AA or UA, or some else, pay a couple of bucks more and be treated like a person.

Not me...I like cheap cheap cheap when it comes to air travel. As long as the flight is direct, that is. And I'm flying Southwest three times in the next two months to visit friends because it's so cheap.
I wonder what person has a stick up an unfortunate orifice at the airline that he/she can't get his/her act together. Almost sounds like a mystery story. Betcha it's just easier to be an ass to you than to FIX the problem.

Did I miss something? Why are you on the no-fly list? DD You have to ask that?  Actually, someone with a name similar to mine born 4 years later did something bad, I'm guessing, so now I get checked each and every time I fly SWA. I can't use their kiosks or check in online. At any rate, they are a great airline with great service, just my own problem with this TSA stuff. We were a bit late leaving due to some computer problem the Captain said he'd never seen in 25 years of flying 737s. "GREAT," I thought. But, they got it fixed after calling headquarters in Dallas. I get on the plane and wouldn't you know it? This really sweat lady and her husband sat down beside me.......she was in the middle seat and I'm in the window. Oh, did I say she was about 4 feet WIDE? I was squished up against the damn window for 4.5 hours......... I got to stop at Las Vegas for a few minutes before heading off to Reno. There is a dang motorcycle convention going on around Reno and Carson City......fuckers EVERYWHERE! I wish I had a damn HARLEY!!!! Off to Minden tomorrow for what I hope is another great day of sailplane flying! We'll see.......not the same condition when I was here in May and flew to almost 30,000 feet on 3 days. I flew SWA once.... ONCE! I made a point of getting there SUPER EARLY because I'd heard that boarding passes were first come, first served. I got card number ONE! Good job, eh? Well, when time to board came, FIRST boarded were "families with small children". This turned out to be ALL MOTHERS, FATHERS, COUSINS, UNCLES, AUNTS, GODFATHERS, LEFT-HANDED WISCONSIN PLUMBERS, and etc. Turns out that, even with my Number One boarding pass, I was the LAST BASTARD let onto the plane. FUCKING ASSHOLES!!!

Re: the pinheads who leave their luggage unattended, just buy a plastic squirt gun at the gift shop, and wrap it in tin foil. Then thrust it deep into their suitcase so the X-Ray machine can enjoy the view of it.

I flew the fucks twice, never again. Like Jake the number means shit. Like I said earlier it just a big flying cattle truck.
Plus they don't fly out of SFO ,but they do out of Oakland and I hate that fucking airport with a passion. I will fly someone else.
I have always had good luck with American Airlines or United. Also America West has been very good on the west coast and to Mexico, we use them alot. Sometime they are cheaper than Southwest.

America Wost? I'll never fly those idiots. Try getting in/out of Sacramento on that piece of shit airline. You can call, check the internet, etc. and they say "oh yeah...we're on time". You check the arrivals...yep...on time. Then find out the stupid thing hasn't even left Phoenix. I'd rather drive 1000 miles ONE WAY than fly with them.

Actually, I think all the airlines suck; some just suck more than others. But my problem with Southwest is not so much the airline, it is the passengers. I prefer flying with people who fly all the time, and know how to behave properly. Not these once-in-a-lifetime folks who seem to make up the majority at SWA customers.......Jake

We have flown America West to Vegas 3 or 4 time twice to Mexico and have never had any problems with them at all. Their flights have always been on time. We always go out of SFO but I don't think that would make a difference.
Matter of fact I was just getting ready this week to set up another flight with them to go to Vegas Next February.

It's got to be with the Sacramento then. My folks used to fly them all the time until my Mom got stuck in Tampa. She was literally there all day long while every Cuban got their ass on another flight.
I've flown them to Cancun and I put my son on one of their flights to Costa Rica. As for me, I'll take Southwest. At least I know I'll get where I'm going when I'm supposed to be there and not three hours late.
But, given the preferance, I'm a Delta-gal all the way.

GO'T DAMN LIB'RUL LAMEBRAIN PINHEAD AIRLINE SHITHEADS!!!!!......Jake Easy Jake! You might pop a brain vein! I high-tailed it from San Fran down to San Jose this AM and blew into the terminal headed straight for the Southwest check-in counter. I passed a couple of kiosks knowing they weren't worth my time......then I got curious. I backpeddled, inserted my trusty Southwest card and BY GOD, I GOT A BOARDING PASS! PRAISE JESUS! Could it be the dreaded TSA Dr. BOB LOCKOUT has finally ended? Well, I ain't counting my chickens yet, but this is a good sign. I walk to the gate 2 hours early and saw a flight to Burbank leaving in 20 minutes......traded in my pass for the earlier flight NO QUESTIONS ASKED and got to Southern Cal an hour early! I must say, the only reason I flew SWA out to Reno was my favorite Airline, NWA's only flight got in about 11PM.....not good. I'm flying to Boston in the AM on NWA FIRST CLASS all 'da way, Baby! Can't wait to get there 'cuz I get to play with Rhonda tomorrow night! HEH HEH! .............Bob |
