I just had to tell you that I had the most enjoyable flying experience I have had in years with American Airlines.
Both flights were on time (strange, huh?) and the staff was very friendly. Planes were clean and comfortable and had adjustable head rests.
I think I found a new airline!

We fly 2 or 3 times a year, no big deal, but we always use American if possible.

American is the 800 pound gorilla at DFW airport (their headquarters and biggest hub), so we fly them quite often. We have been happy with them, especially since they added the nonstop to MoBay in Februry. I know Simon isn't crazy about them (he's been spoiled by British Air), but IMHO they have done well in light of the tough sledding in the business.

I sure hope our flight will be good. We booked in December and already they have changed planes to a smaller one ( yet the flight is full) and then moved the flight back an hour. That is one whole hour of Hedo they took away from me!!!!!!

I fly American whenever possible. This Thursday I am flying to California on American...First Class! (keep them bratty kids away from me!) We flew to Jamaica in February on Spirit Airlines. On the flight there (nonstop) we had a flight attendant that was pretty rude to people. On the way back it was wonderful. We got emergency row seats. On the leg out of Ft. Lauderdale I didn't even have a seat in front of me! The fares were $69 (before taxes and fees).

I've had good and bad experiences on American, as well as on just about every other airline. If you think about all the logistical nightmares involved in running an airline, it's amazing they fly at all, let alone cheerfully and efficiently......Jake

I just booked our flights to MoBay for the end of May with American. I can leave Tucson at 5:30am, get to Dallas and make the non-stop flight to Jamaica and arrive at 2:30pm. Leaving Jamaica, the flight out is at 3:30.
Finally, I can fly there without having to spend the night somewhere.
Tickets were $775 with all fees.

$793 is the best quote out of my airport on Northwest (plus an overnight in MSP because I cant get out of here early enough to connect in MSP), OR $450 if I drive 7 hours to MSP . Its alway been that way, cheaper to drive MSP, but $450 from MSP to MBJ is an unexpectedly good price!!
