Damn near makes me want to be a Catholic Republican New Pope Hits Out at Harry Potter Books By WENN ............................................ New Pope Benedict XVI has blasted J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books for "undermining the soul of Christianity". Nicknamed 'God's Rottweiler', Pope Benedict is set to confuse Catholics across the world because his predecessor John Paul II praised the multi-millionaire for her Christian lifestyle. Benedict, formerly Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger is grateful to 'Harry Potter: Good or Bad' author Gabriele Kuby for revealing the hidden agendas behind the popular children's books. He says, "It is good that you explain the facts of Harry Potter, because this is a subtle seduction, which has deeply unnoticed and direct effects in undermining the soul of Christianity before it can really grow properly." Leading Christian theologian Uta Ranke-Heinemann, 77, comments, "The Vatican feels it has the copyright on what is good and what is evil and it does not want anyone else infringing its right to this monopoly. "It will condemn anyone who tries to enter this territory without its permission."

How long are we gonna refer to this poor guy as the "New Pope"? Reminds me of "new Coke" which never ever attained the status of the "real" Coke. He's just the Pope, dammit!
And while we're at it, it's about time to stop calling him "God's Rottweiler" too. How about "The German Shepherd"?? ;D .....Jake

Didn't take too long for Ratzi the Nazi to show his true colors, did it? Anyone bother to ask him what time the book burning is scheduled for? And when is he going to start sporting a swastika on that mitre?

I got two German Shepherd here in my office that now have an issue that they need to address with you. They are extremely apolitical, but you just crossed a line. They add, you might just want to try calling them 'Alsatians' and get it over with. ;D ;D Gordon PS.. I am adding the following at my own risk... The Brits are ditching their German Shepherds in favor of Rotts... the German Shepherds are "just poodles" www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,3604,1193140,00.html

JPII really thought Harry Potter was allright... Of course he did. Most Catholic clergymen just love a young boy like that. What kind of Catholic cleric wouldn't? Pope Benedict of Arnold, that's who!

after Pope John Paul I was really, really hoping for Pope George Ringo... After Pope John Paul I, there was Pope John Paul II. Remember: the sequels are never as good as the original.
