Facebook has its place and all, but it has one huge drawback: EVERYBODY is on it! Well, not my parents who are in their eighties, but pretty much everyone else: your boss, your co-workers, your kids, your neighbors. People who you like to keep fooled into thinking that you are basically a decent person.
But you and I know you are NOT really a decent person. You, like me, are a nasty little bugger with all sorts of really horrible things you want to say! But, you don't want to cut your own balls off, so you zip your lip shut. And then you fester inside! Because nasty shit like that has to come out! It's just not healthy to bottle it up!
That's what this forum is for: your chance to post whatever nasty crap you have burning you up inside so that you can get on with your life.
Go ahead. Vent. You know you want to. Don't worry. Nobody will EVER see it. Except other nasty little buggers just like you and me, and they won't care.
PS - if you DON'T like something posted here, you are free to disagree vociferously. But you are not free to complain that someone has gone over the line. That's what we're here for, to go over the line. If you can't take the heat, go back to Facebook and look at pictures of grumpy cats.

It's not really private enough here for me to let loose. Anyone can read this board although I'll grant you that few people look here anymore.
I will say this. The racism in the news, on FB and just about everywhere is one giant step back in time. What is this the 60's again? For pete's sake all lives matter, not just black ones.

Oh don't get me started on this shit!! ALL LIVES MATTER!!
Let's look at some REAL facts here. The CDC just this past July released final mortality data for 2011. A bit over 11,000 homicides by firearm. Yea yea, you will see 35,000 guns deaths in the media but just under 20,000 were suicide. No impact on my risk at ALL those suicides are not! So who the fuck is killing whom???
I don't have the exact numbers in front of me as I write this but I have them. I think actually 11,068 homicides by firearm in 2011. 58% were African American. Interesting when they are about 13% of the population. Most of those are young black men shooting and killing other young black men. Over 7000 of those deaths were between the ages of 15 and 34. GANGBANGERS!!
The majority of gun violence in this country is young minorities shooting and killing EACH OTHER. For CHRIST'S SAKE, banning AR-15s, limiting magazines and background checks are NOT going to ch-ch-change this!
We need to understand what is driving these young kids to kill each other in order to find solutions to gun violence, but no one will even admit who is killing whom in the main stream media!! Fuckers!!

By the bye..... In case any old visitors meander by, looking for the old threads and discussions... they are still here. No, they are not front and center, since I am trying to "re-tool" the site a bit, and streamline it for current sensibilities. But the old threads ARE still all here. You just need to dig a little for them. You can try the "recent threads" link from the home page, or click on your own profile page and see what old threads you have commented on. With a little digging, they ARE all still around. No censorship here, remember!!!!

I decided that hiding old boards was a bit too much like censorship, so I "unhid" all the old posts and fora. Everything is back in plain sight! Enjoy, you lovers of free speech. And for you haters of free speech (you know who you are): Suck It!!!!

Just checking in so that any visitors who happen by will not think this sight is totally abandoned. Say HI! I'll see it! And so will all the other people who no longer post, but still check occasionally, according to the site statistics website. What's UUUPPPPPP? ??

You know, speaking of entitlements, if the government gave me an option:
1. Keep paying into Social Security, and get your regular benefits when you retire..... OR 2. STOP paying now, keep all your money, and get NO benefits when you retire...
I'd choose #2. I figure I can invest the money for a better return than the feds will ever give me. I'm sure not all would agree, but that's how I see it, and that's how I would choose. Others are free to choose differently in my perfect world.

Remember Barry Goldwater? He had a plan like #2. I'm with you, all the money that I paid into SS if invested long term would pay a hell of a lot more than $2200 a month.
