Now that we have discussed in detail the pros and cons of gun control I'm wondering what you all think about women now being allowed on the front lines in the infantry.
I think it is a mistake. What do you think?

As long as all physical requirements remain intact, I have no problem with it.

Without it women have a "Khaki Ceiling" which they bump up against. The upper ranks of the military require combat experience. The fact is that many women have been unofficially in situations for many years now, but without the formal recognition of that fact, they could never hope to advance to the highest ranks. I see it as a win for women.

Certainly a minor percentage of women could pass the physical demands but from my limited knowledge of what happens in war, especially on the front lines, I just don't think it is practical.

I think the entire move for approval was all about being PC. Anyone who disagrees will be considered a part of that phantom 'war against women'.
