I couldn't find the thread where we discussed the highly suspect 'recess appointments' made by Obama last year.
Well, the courts detirmined that the appointments were illegal.
Let the lawsuits begin!

Maybe they should tie getting the Senate to set a budget to getting the House to get through the backlog of Obama appointments and then we wouldnt have EITHER problem.

Obama's illegal appointments will tie up the courts for some time.

How could I be so foolish... of COURSE its Obama's fault. Anita, do you forget how many conservatives had ruffled feathers when the Dem House moved so slowly on Bush appointments... conservatives were irate that Bush wasnt getting his appointments through.
If this is an issue of turn around being fair play, then give Obama the credit for moving in a way to get the House off its ass and and get its job done (just like the Senate need to get off its ass and get a budget passed). Two wrongs dont make it right, and there will be more gridlock on this for the next Republican President.
If this is about ideology, then consider THAT for the next Republican President who has a Dem House to deal with.
This has gotten to be nothing more than payback after payback. An Obama power grab? {from the article above} or the winner gets to pick, choose carefully or you may be facing the old hypocracy/double standard sometime in the future.

Every President has faced obstruction from Congress and or the Senate on appointment approvals including Bush. The difference my friend is that unlike Bush and his predecessors Obama ignored the Constitution and make the appointments illegally. Now we must pay for and suffer the subsequent lawsuits. I can't recall any President that has caused so much angst between the parties. Clinton who had to swim upstream in both houses got more done. IMHO Obama has created more problems than he has solved. No budget for FOUR years! His last budget approved by his Congress gave him what he wanted including the stimulus in 2009. That level of spending was meant to pull us out of a recession not become the benchmark of spending for 4 years. Now Obama has the nerve to blame Congress for the spending problem.
