This totally blew what's left of my mind. While it may be highly unlikely, it's nevertheless technically possible that we *could* wind up with President Romney and Vice President Biden, based upon the U.S. Constitution. Dig this, Daddy-O: Is this what you might call Anarcho-Federalism? I don't know. But it's definitely anarcho- something.

What's interesting about that observation is that both Romney and Biden are typically played by the same actor on Saturday Night Live (Jason Sudeikis).

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The Constitution doesn't guarantee us a good government. It guarantees us a representative government.

I do not believe that it will ever happen. In most states, nothing prevents an elector from voting for someone other than the person they are pledged to. With all of the campaign money floating around, I am sure that there will be enough left over to buy a vote or two. The so called "faithless electors" are not uncommon, having happened 7 times since 1960. Of course there is the possibility that both sides would manage to buy off an elector (or two), in which case the tie is back on.

Actually I wouldn't mink a Romney Biden outcome. Maybe we could get things done under an administration that is split.
