Gary, if they start debating bus/plane or towels, PLEASE alert us, I will ch-ch-change the channel from the Giants/Cardinals game IN A SECOND.
Edited: I was just going to add something about the moderator hiding a vodka bottle on stage... but then I remembered that Mormon thing. Obama would nail "find the vodka bottle"

After 3 debates, here's what I now know about Willard: (1) He likes Big Bird; (2) He likes teachers

My question about the debates: why is not a single one moderated by a Fox News Channel person? They rule the ratings in the cable news category. Does that count for nothing?

Dont the candidates "people" negotiate the "how many" "where" "network" "moderator" questions?

I question the value of the debate format. Is it really needed, no. Does it present us with a view of some talent that the candidate should present, no. Do the candidates use the time to elaborate more deeply on positions, very rarely.
Do away with them, they are another relic of a bygone day.

Disagree. Most people don't vote on issues. They vote on who they think they like better. The debates are an excellent way for candidates to show how likeable they are. Nobody wants to vote for someone they think is a jerk.
This way, we guarantee that the best fake sincere nice guy gets the job.

OK, they are good for one thing!
Edited: We could achieve the same thing thing through the much more popular reality show format however. Audience participation to vote candidates off the stage.
