I think a lot more cushion in regards to excess rambling, mis-speaking and general errors will be given to Biden because it's understood that's his style. Ryan will be under greater scrutiny (imho).

Biden seems to suffer all night long from premature ejuckulation. He couldn't stop smiling, laughing and interrupting. At one point, I just wanted to nail his dick to the floor to shut him up.
Joe, please, STFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Considering the previously stated expectations presented here, on this board, it was a clear win for Biden. As far as Biden overtalking Ryan... no different than Romney overtalking Obama, in fact he probably zeroed out the lead that Romney took in that stat last week.
Biden was smiling because Ryan had a "deer in the headlights" look most of the evening, and Biden was pressing on the accelerator.

An interesting aside from last night. Paul Ryan ASKED to be referred to as "Mr Ryan" by the moderator, rather than the more appropriate "Congressman Ryan" because of the negative connotation associated with the title.
Joe, I thought Martha Radditz did a GREAT job. She kept the debate under some semblance of control, cutting off both candidates when needed, and her questions were well thought out and covered a wide range of issues.

I watched about five minutes of it. Toooo boring. Since I've already decided how I'm going to vote, I didn't feel any obligation to endure any more.

She did a much better job than Lehrer. Also, I found the debate to be fast-moving; unlike Jake, I found that the time flew by -- I could've watched it for longer than the time allotted.

If our two resident uber-liberals both thought the moderator did a good job..... well, you guys can fill in the blanks.

It appears the winner depends on how you learned what was said in the debate. Almost all that watched it, myself included couldn't get past how rude and unglued Biden was. The laughing at Ryan became uncomfortable and showed how desperate he must have felt. I thought Ryan held his own. Not a great performance but more knowledgeable about foreign affairs that I expected.
Anyone who simply read the debate and didn't know Biden lied about a few things would say Biden won.
I doubt it did much to sway anyone undecided. I rack it up to much to do about nothing....well except Biden throwing the intelligence community under the bus.

Biden certainly dominated the debate.
His good points: He stuck to the script (and they all have a script). He made some good points - I thought his high point was when he stated that the last thing we need now is another Middle East war.
His bad points: He came across as a combination between an arrogant drunk lawyer and the third grade class clown. Seriously, he looked like someone with manic disorder who was off his meds.
Ryan was caught in hostile crossfire. The moderator is a friend of Obama's (he attended her wedding)and it showed. IMHO, she should have paused the debate at some point and reiterated the ground rules, so that the audience could at at least hear Ryan out, agree with him or not. Biden just couldn't shut up. If I had been Ryan, I would have had to tell Biden to please take a deep breath and allow the debate to continue.
I suspect that many of the Obama supporters who felt that Obama was too timid thought that it was cute that their guy interupted and made faces while the other guy spoke. The Republicans were not going to like Biden no matter what. I suspect that the Independents were put off by Biden's squirrelly behavior.
