This year's awards had the best talent on stage that I can remember.
On a related subject, Amy Winehouse, however much of a trainwreck she may be, has one in a million talent.

Interesting analogy Simon...
IF watching your wife give birth is like watching your favorite pub burn down THEN watching _______ give birth is like watching The Hawley Arms burn down.
Fill in the blank. (Hint: Amy Winehouse is the WRONG answer)

Britney Spears?
I heard this explanation the other day of how men's minds work : A man will say how tragic Britney's decline is and how sad it is that she has let herself go... but given the chance he'd still shag her and be high fiving strangers in the street the next morning.

"Sadly though she turned out to be insane, so on the upside at least the sex was wild."
Insane, crazy, wild, good sex. Ya Mon!!!!
psssst....Big thumbs up for this years Grammy show. The Band, one of my all time favorite groups, got a life time achievement award.
That would be a polite way of describing her. The coke and heroin has put her on the *nasty sick* level.

I am sorry, but Milli Vanilli will forever represent what the Grammy's are about

I am sorry, but Milli Vanilli will forever represent what the Grammy's are about I don't buy that reason. That's like saying Pete Rose will forever represent what baseball is about.

Different strokes, for different folks. In my mind, one bad apple will not cause a negative bias toward a particular group.
Psssst….. Now, several bad apples, like a Reagan, a Bush, a McCain, will put the negative bias ball toward a particular group on alert.

No, no, no. You misunderstand me. I think Pete Rose is great, and represents all that is wonderful about baseball: grit, determination, and hustle. Who can fault that? Only pinheads who think that gambling is a bad thing.

On a related subject, Amy Winehouse, however much of a trainwreck she may be, has one in a million talent. Just watched Ms Winehouse performing 'Love Is A Losing Game' and covering The Zutons' 'Valerie' with Mark Ronson at the Brits (a music awards event kind of like the Grammys but far more important) and looking a picture of health. Those of you who have her on your Deadpool lists I wouldn't go counting your winnings just yet. Simon

They ran a photo of her in the paper today -- fresh out of rehab, she was drinking a beer.

Not seen anything about that here, though there are stories about her missing her Brits rehearsals because she was upset at finding out her jailbird husband is swapping signed pics of her with other inmates for heroin. Got a link?

I saw the pic in the NY Daily News (actually, it was yesterday, not today), but couldn't find it on their site. A Google search, however, turns up this article from another paper. The was the same thing reported yesterday in the NY paper, however, this news service does not have the picture of her with the beer in her hand like the NY paper did. Has Amy Winehouse returned to her wild ways?=== Edited to add: Found it thanks to the NY Post : www.pagesix.com/photo/amy+winehouse+beer

Seriously though, Amy is tabloid fodder here, and that story should have been splashed all over the front pages of The Sun, The Star, The Daily Mirror, and even the fascist rag The Daily Mail, but as far as I can see it's not been reported here. Whilst I'm not saying I don't believe it, I'd be more inclined to take it seriously if I'd seen it sensationalised at home.

I take it all back. According to today's Sun newspaper Amy went out drinking in London on Tuesday night and got completely shit-faced, and was so hungover at the final Brits rehearsals yesterday morning she fell flat on her face on stage at one point.
The jury is out.

This is a great example of how the human body will recover, when you quit putting shit in you on a daily basis.
With the disease she has, and the Pic BB posted. She will be right back where she was, before she went to rehab. You can take that to the bank.
psssst....Whem it comes to an artist putting soul in their soul, and rhythm and blues music. There has been no one that could top the likes of a Sam Cooke and a David Ruffin, till, Ms. Winehouse came along.
Sam Cooke:
David Ruffin: (lead singer for temptations)
