Day 1 of Travel Trailer life has gone well. Here are a few pictures. Set up in the park. This Park is fairly new and it is the only 5 star park in Oregon. This is the dinning, family, and entertainment section. Kitchen area. Bedroom. My fat Belly Shirt. No need to explain. Up next we are going to check out the Oregon Wineries and their wine. Pictures to follow,

Check out this part of the Oregon Wine Country today. Not impreesed with their vioneyards but I am a bit bias Did some wine tasting found a Chardonnay that we liked and a Pinot Noir. I did not realize that they had about 10 different wine regions here. Here is a shot of part of their wine valley. Going to kind of lay back on Sunday but Monday we are off to see the Spruce Goose and their Air Museum in McMinnivlle. More to follow.

Quick update.
The Wifi in the park is really slow so no pictures until I get home.
Went to the Evergreen Airplanne museum yesterday. Wow what great place. The Spruce Goose is there and I could not believe how big that plane is. Also lots of Military Jets, small planes, WWII German Japanese, British, Russian and American fighter planes. The Space museum was also good. Has old Apollo, Gemini, and Mercury space capsules. Will have pictures later.
Today we took a ride out into the farming area. Lots of hay, blue berries, hops, apples and flowers.
More to follow soon.

Nice. Is that typical with American caravans to have so few windows? British ones usually have them at the front, rear and sides.

I am not sure Simon. Some still have the front, but most of them are on the sides. It also depends on the size of the trailer.

Yes we did. I didn't want our maiden voyage to end up like the Titanic.
I have to say one thing about Oregon. Their roads are beautiful. No potholes, no bumpy county side roads. It pisses me off that here in CA we pay all of these high taxes that a for roads, but our roads are going to shit. The minute you cross the state line it's like wow these roads are nice, no bumps, no holes. I don't know how they do it but CA needs to take lessons.
Still working on the pictures.

here are some more pictures. I have more but I don't want to bore you to death. Oregon Capitial Building The Spruce Goose. I have more pictures of this giant plane, but this was the best I could get to show you the whole plane. The had other planes stacked around it and they looked like a pimple on an Elephant's ass. This is a Hop field. This is a flower Farm. This was so beautiful. It was such a big place that I couldn't get any biger of a picture.

I was really impressed with the Farming in the area was very spread out . We seen Blueberry's, Strawberry's, Blackberry's, Raspberry's, Apples, Pears, Wheat, Hay, Prunes, Hazel Nuts, String beans, Cherry's, and of course Vineyards.
The prices on the fresh fruit were very reasonable. At one fruit stand we bought 6 Apricots and a basket of Blueberry's. Total cost $2.74. Here that would have been $10 to $12.
We are planing our next trailer getaway. With any luck we are going to head to Arizona in March to spend 10 days at Spring Train.

Like the pictures. Maybe a California 1 road trip would be cool.

This has been reminding me of Steinbeck's "Travels With Charley" (except in this case, I guess it's more like "Travels With Joey").

I was thinking more along the lines of an upclass version of "The Grapes of Wrath" (knowing what he will be like when harvest roles around)

Like the pictures. Maybe a California 1 road trip would be cool. We met some real nice people parked next to us in Salem. They had the 35 foot trailer that was beautiful. The are traveling for year. Starting in Salem then up to Washing then down the west coast to San Diego, then off to Arizona. Made me jealous.

Glad you had a nice trip Joe and thanks for sharing the pictures. Our local wine shops have a small Oregon section but of course the California wines are the bulk of the selection.

Well we made it to Vegas with no problems on Sunday. Nice trip. We got to see a lots of CA that we have never seen before. Monday we did some sight seeing and there are a few new Mega Resorts since our last trip here in 2006. Played golf Tuesday and Wednesday or if that's what you want to call it. Denice won $320.00 on a slot machine Sunday night and Tuesday night when seen Zumanity a Cirque Du Soleil production. Great show highly recommend it if you ever get here. It is at New York, New York Also had dinner at Gallaghers Steak House at New York, New York, a bit pricey but it was our anniversary dinner.
Thursday will be our last day here before moving on to Palm springs, CA. Thursday night we have reserveations to see another Cirque Du Soleil called KA at the MGM Grand.
I have a few pictures of the golf course and will try to get them on line here soon.
Will fill you in again when we get the Palm Springs.

If you win a few bucks, maybe put a stripper pole in the trailer.

It looks like you had a great time on your trip. I wish to go these type of trips but haven't enough time to spare for this. Soon I shall be there.
