On the recommendation of another board member I picked up the album "Francis Alberto Sinatra & Antonio Carlos Jobim". The music is all soft, soothing, slightly latin, but definitely Frank. I agree with the description that "If Frank ever made a make-out album, this was it." This is the sort of album that can be played on repeat as background music for quite some time. That is it's strength, but after a week of heavy listening I also think that is it's weakness as well. It is *all* smooth, one song flows easily into the next and the next. I found myself no longer listening to the music. It has none of Frank's signature power pieces to pull your attention back to the music.
While on the whole this might be one of my favorite Sinatra albums, I find myself thinking of how to mix it in with some Eartha Kitt, Dean Martin, Astrud Gilberto, Herb Alpert, Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, and Bobby Darin for evenings when I am feeling mellow.
Zilla (who really *likes* this album no matter how this review sounds)

And most importantly, the version of "Baubles, Bangles & Beads" from that disc was the song that was playing when Big Pussy Bompensiero got whacked on The Sopranos.
Frank's great comment about his singing on that album: "If I were singing any more softly, I'd be whispering".
-- BB (who, having been flushed out by Zilla, must now admit that Frank's version of "Dindi" on that album is a great way to start the morning on the beach at Hedo)

Did you ever hear the line "I don't know where we are going this evening, can it be relayed to me honey?"
I can't recall which crooner sang it, "but I need to know before I leave....."

Not off the top of my head, but I would have a better chance of getting it if you could sing it to me Zilla (who thinks more people should sing to me just in general)
