This is an "old" movie, from 2009, but I just saw it last night on TV. Basically, it is an update of the old Charles Bronson franchise, "Death Wish." A simple, honest dude has his home invaded, and his wife and young daughter brutally raped and murdered. And now he is Out For Justice. The difference between this movie and the Bronson flicks of old is, he doesn't just want payback against the perps. He also wants payback against the justice system that plea-bargained the perps down to a slap on the wrist, so that lawyers, detectives, judges, and the entire justice system is in his cross-hairs! Also, the main character is an engineer, which always makes me love a movie. But he is an engineer who worked for the CIA, and whose specialty is KILLING people! Anyway, the movie starred Gerard Butler as the wronged father/husband/engineer, Jamie Foxx as the prosecuter who would rather plea-bargain than risk his conviction ratio, and Colm "Chief O'Brien" Meaney as the detective looking into the whole affair. The brilliance of this film is that you can't decide who is the good guy! The prosecutor has his flaws, but so does the victim. Both have good points to make, but both are in the wrong on many levels. In the end, it is there to make you think, and there are no easy answers. I thought it was great. Anyone else see it? What did YOU think? And did you find it easy to decide who was the good guy and who was the bad guy?

We seen this movie a couple of years age. We thought it was good. It was one of those movies that at first you think this guy is the good guy but then in the next scene he is screwing some one over so you think then it's ? and then you are wrong again. The movie keep me guessing. Going to have to rewatch this one.
