Anyone watch the new Dallas yet? I think it pretty good. J.R. and Bobby are back along with a few others from the orginal showand a whole shit pot of new characters.
I liked it 30 years ago and I still like it today.

Never watched it back in the day, so I didn't bother to watch it now. But I'm glad it's good.

I loved the original show which was HUGE here. When it first started my dad was working in the London office of First National Bank in Dallas, which went on to become part of InterFirst, and he used to make regular business trips over to Dallas. It earned my brother and I massive bragging rights at school, especially when he'd bring us back merchandise from the show... or just anything with the word 'Dallas' on it.... to show off.
When I visited Texas for the first time in 2003 I made sure our friends we were staying with took us out to Southfork Ranch. Even as a grown man it was incredibly exciting driving through the gate and up the drive to the house... which is absolutely tiny!! The whole time we were there I had the theme to she show playing in a loop in my head.
The new show doesn't air here until September... may have to start downloading....

I loved the show way back when and have watched it now. Pretty much the same old back-stabbing and deals under the table as back then. I'll be watching each episode for sure!

A bunch of conniving skunks with phony Texas accents.

I watched every episode in the day, and Ive watched all three new show to date. Someone need to trim JR's eyebrows, the things go halfway up to his hairline. Biggest question I have so far... The old timers are obviously there to tie back to the old show, the youth are learning from them now. But this is TV, which for the most part cares a lot more for smooth skin than wrinkles... which will die first the show or the old generation. I have enjoyed the throwbacks to the old series.. last week JR said something like "bullets seem to have no effect on me" is a good example. They did have a lot of the secondary characters on the first show, including Charlene Tilton who played Lucy Ewing... the years have not been kind

Lucy was popularly known as 'The Poison Dwarf' here after being nicknamed that by a BBC Radio DJ called Terry Wogan.
