Last week, it was announced that Tony Bourdain would be leaving The Travel Channel in order to move to CNN. This means that the next season of his hit TV show "No Reservations" will be its 9th and last. It is with a modicum of pride that I can tell you (in case you don't already know) he chose to shoot his final episode of "No Rez" this past weekend here in Brooklyn -- he Tweeted a bunch of photos on Twitter over the past couple of days. He's supposedly going to do a very similar type of show at CNN; it's scheduled to start airing early 2013.
I don't know if Travel Channel will rerun all of the old episodes of "No Rez" long after Bourdain is gone, but it's a little sad to think there'll be no more episodes even though the upcoming show on CNN will supposedly be something of a clone.
As a fan, I'm anxiously awaiting to see how things work themselves out on this.

My understanding as to why CNN is as follows:
1. CNN wanted it because they're desperate -- Fox News has been kicking their ass for a long time now and they needed something of an entertainment show that they could schedule for the weekend which would attract viewers
2. Bourdain wanted it because he has hard feelings about the management of Scripps (who owns both the Travel Channel & Food Network), but he's been spinning things in an atypically politically correct way by saying that with CNN being a news organization, he'll have better access to hot spots around the world like Libya and Yemen.

He might -- his contract calls for him to appear on other CNN programs as well
