Also "LDN". It has a nice tropical beat and has different lyrics compared to U.S. pop music. Worth a listen if you're an alternative music lover.

i'm enjoying the whole album. it seems a little schizophrenic in that she tries several different musical styles, but it holds up well for me over repeated playings. I find myself singing "alfie" quite a bit.
thanks for hipping me to the artist!
Zilla (i'm trying to help you out so you can stop being a twat)

dork! you know that was a lyric from "alfie"! i've filled my new music quota for january, but i'll try to find jayhawks on youtube. i've also recently been enjoying "be good tanyas", but i'm not going to recommend them to anyone unless you like music that sounds like it is being sung by drunk southerners (which i do!) Zilla (oh jesus christ almighty, do i feel alright? no, not slightly)

Don't you want something else, Something new, than what we've got here, And don't you feel it's all the same, Some sick game and it's not insincere, I wish I could ch-ch-change the ways of the world, Make it a nice place Until that day, I guess we stay, Doing what we do Screwing who we screw - Lily Allen "Everythings Wonderful"
Zilla ("do you think, everything, everyone, is going mental, it seems to me that it's spiraling outta control and it's inevitable")

Thanks Si, I enjoyed that video and it will be interesting to watch Allen's career. I think she's very talented and has the staying power for many, many albums to come. I also like Joss Stone. Another young lady with an incredible voice and ability to capture 60's American Soul music in it's most sultry passion. That has a good dance-able club sound. Allen has only limited air play here so I haven't heard it. Thanks for the link.
