Season 3 of Justified starts Tuesday night on FX. I think it has been far and away the best thing on TV the past two years. I even put it slightly ahead of Mad Men and Breaking Bad in my book.
It is based on the short story "Fire in the Hole" by Elmore Leonard. The writing is both dry and funny. And there is great depth to the characters.
Margo Martindale turn as Mags Bennett last season was so much fun. You normally don't see an older woman portrayed with such a mean streak. She was a true rattlesnake.
The true joy in the series is watching Timothy Olyphant as Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens play against Walton Goggins as Boyd Crowder. The two of them absolutely nail it.
Each season is a self contained story but the character development definitely bleeds between the seasons. I would suggest taking a look and even going back and finding the first two seasons.

Sounds interesting. What's it about? Since it's Elmore Leonard, I'm guessing some sort of crime action?

Raylan Givens is the main character. He is a US Marshall born in Ky. And he is transferred back there after a stint in Miami.
He is the good guy against the various bad guys in Ky. We are talking Dixie Mafia, moonshine, weed, etc. And needless to say his past and his family are not spotless. It has a bit of a western sheriff feel to it. But it is set in modern time but definitely backwoods.

Interesting. I don't think of KY as a hotbed of organized crime, but I suppose it could have as much as anyplace else. Somebody has to shake down those moonshiners.
