That thing is a rolling tank, but a real nice tank. Nice ride.
Imagine getting t-bone by that thing while you are driving your little plastic 2011 car!!!!!!!!!!! Man that is going to hurt.

That's a fine car and with great documents. It cost $7700 in 1953, my grandparents new house cost $5500 in 1950. (for comparison sake)

I like the order form. Wouldnt it be nice to order a car with EXACTLY what you want installed, in a reasonable time frame like back then. Best you can expect to do nowadays is find a car on the lot with a package that closely resembles what you want.

I have had five convertibles. One was a 1993 red Mustang that I special ordered with every option that Ford offered at the time, including a block heater, which is unusual in the south but nice on a cold morning. Ford held up their end and I was a happy customer. BTW, "boot" in convertible vernacular is not the trunk but the flap that covers the top well when the top is down.

Now that you mention it, my brother ordered a 5.0 Mustang in 1988 (seems like yesterday) with NO equipment. The car was to be a daily driver but also as a weekend bracket racer.
A Mustang was delivered but with power mirrors, nothing else! My brother didn't take the car and ordered another one from a different dealer. This time it came through exactly as he wanted, nothing but a radio (crank windows, no a/c etc...).
The intent was to keep the car light. Right from the dealer it went 13.70 and with minor adjustments turned 12.50's

My family lived in Toronto for several years in the late 60s/early 70s. My dad bought himself a red Mercury Meteor which got stolen one night. The cops found it about a week later, but in the meantime my dad rented a convertible Mustang. One of my earliest memories is going out in it one day and my dad telling me we were doing 120mph. I was so thrilled, and have been in love with Mustangs ever since. I've driven a few in recent years when I've been in the US, my favourite has been the one my friend Mike in Dallas owns which was rebuilt from the wheels up for drag racing. No A/C, no power windows or mirrors. No windscreen wipers even. And as fast a fuck.
